Okay, we'll negotiate the extravagant gifts down to donuts. Man, you are a tough one oh Great and August Kingly PMann

Okay okay. Sorry I didn't get a chance to post over the weekend. I was busy with Super Bowl stuff. Not really. I didn't watch a moment of it. In fact, I actually couldn't tell you who played or who won.

So that's a weird thing about me. I'm American as apple pie. I'm male. I'm rugged as the back ass of a mountain. Yet I fucking hate football. It's the most boring sport in all the world to me. I've never watched an entire game.

What quirks or surprising traits do you have? What would your Lit friends be curious to know about you? What's an oddity in your personality?

You should shower us with extravagant gifts to keep our loyalty!

Yes to this!! Where do I send my list?

Mine, quirk is Lit. I like to flirt with strangers on the internet and read stories about all kinds of dirty, nasty things. :D

I like you.
I am weird.
You are weird too.

Enough is enough.

Oh a question I like. :) Thank you, Pmann.

I don't like football either. In actuality, I don't like any professional sports. I don't like watching them, I don't know any of the teams, and I don't know the names of any players. I've never watched a superbowl, and the last professional sports game I remember kinda seeing was some college basketball game 15 years ago. I couldn't tell you who played.

I don't watch TV. I'm not one of those, "Oh, I only watch the news and the weather." I don't even turn that on. I have 50 odd music stations and that doesn't come on. No PPV, no Netflix, no any of that. My TV is for movies. Yes, I buy Blu Rays. No Redbox. No digital movie downloads. Hard copies only. The last TV show I watched was Friends when they were making new episodes. So why do I have cable? The package deal got me a discount on internet.

I have a Facebook that I started in September because I was told that it was weird to not have one in today's society. I don't use it. I don't post anything on it. I don't read anyone else's posts. I have less than 10 friends on Facebook and they're all people I work with. I accepted because I felt it would be rude not to accept them, and I also see them every day.

There are other weird things about me, but I don't want to take over the thread. Thanks again, Pmann.

Hmm, a quirk...

I can't stand the feel of dry towels if my hands are also dry. I can't even fold them if my hands aren't wet. The sound of someone's hands folding towels and running their fingers over them to make a crease in the fold makes me crazy. It makes my skin crawl and my teeth hurt. I'm actually having trouble typing this.

I've been like this for as long as I can remember and I have no idea why.

Hmmmm.....I am terrified of masks and those people dressed up as androids robot dancing. Street performers who pretend to be statues *shudder* When I was at the Edinburgh Festival one said statue person chased me I didn't hysterically scream or push people out the way to get away.....noooo not me

Oops. Your king has been such a slacker. Dammit. I apologize. I was thinking about what I was going to get for my birthday. It's coming up soon, in just less than three months!!!! What are you fuckers going to do for your king on his birthday?

Here is my question...

We all like to feel special. And we are all different. Snowflakes and shit. But what is it that people can do to really make you feel good? What lifts your spirit when you are down? What can a friend or, as BBB would say, a "lover" (which I accidentally typed liver) do to make you happy?

It is cotton balls or pads for me. I can't touch them. It sends shivers over my back jut to think of it. Only the slightly greased medical ones, for padding under a tight bandage I can touch. I drip nail polish remover on a three times folded piece of toilet paper. I drip make-up remover on toilet paper, and so on.

I wouldn't want a lover to hand me some liver. It wouldn't make me happy, unless it was veal and cooked to the right point (soft and juicy) and accompanied by Rösti.

Some nice chocolate would make me happy. The chocolate could also come in the form of a hug. Which could be virtual.

The best thing that works for me when I am down is humor or other distractions. Funny sex works really well.

I seem to be falling a little behind in answering the QoD.

I'm with you on the Super Bowl, pmann. Team sports, bore, bore, bore, bore, bore me. Actually most sports bore me. Golf. Dear God. Possibly one might want to play (still don't get it), but how can anyone watch!? And boxing. Don't get me started on boxing.

And I have to agree with BrokenRomantic on the whole social media thing. Nope. No Facebook, no twitter, no, well, whatever other stuff there is. The Lit board is the closest I get, and it takes up more time than it should. Seriously, how do people find the time to do all that other stuff....

Though come to think of it, anyone from Lit who knows me well enough to be termed a friend would probably not be surprised by either of the above. So, I guess I've got nothing.

Lunch, or coffee, or a drink together usually works for me. Some type of conversational diversion, whether it be light and fluffy, or a new perspective on an issue I'm dealing with. Being introverted and introspective, it's easy for me to get stuck in my head. A nice little mental diversion often perks me up and gets me on a more productive path. :)

Though I wouldn't be averse to a little liver. Properly cooked! This v looks nom, Dutchrain. :D

Funny sex would be a marvelous pick-me-up!

Sex has a lot of comedic potential. LOL - or, that just might be sex with me.

Happy, uh, Three Months Before Your Birthday Noble and Magnificent King PMann the 1st! Release the triumphant pigeons!

:D

My birthday is this month! Yay! I love my birthday!

I've come to the reality that I don't need any more 'things', I do enjoy calls from my family and friends with genuine well wishes. I want my day to be all about me, with attention, love, smiles and fun. Oh, and good food.

Triumphant pigeons?!? Not even a beautiful white dove? I mean, pigeons are rats with wings.

The king will sulk now. And then I'll answer my question.

I don't think I require much in this area personally. Hanging out and having a beer or two will always lift my spirits.
