lol....i have a fb relative who always loads her pics with about a dozen of these....

And separately. ..back to chain's question....i was walking today doing a bit of head clearing and I came to the simple. ...but apparently not simple for me...resolution....
for me to accept the realization that if I want change.....i must change things...so that's my resolution. ..be the change they say...

#bethechange

How you define a word is obviously paramount to its use and the message you are trying to communicate. Often times there are words (usually adjectives) that have even more impact to your message. How often do you feel the need to further explain, define a word or your message to make sure the content is received as intended? Or do you assume that everyone understands and put the burden to the the reader?

I typically try to word according to my intended recipient.
In personal conversation, Its more geared toward that person and what is already known or established.

In public arenas, I usually tend to err on the side of over-explanation.

In either case, I try not to have to revisit statements as a rule.

When snark is involved, all bets are off. I probably have about a 60% average of backtracking and foot from mouth removal. ;)

I never assume...GigglyGurrrl knows how that goes. ;)

I tend to make my statement and see how others perceive it...it can turn into a very interesting or funneh or volatile conversation...or it can be one of those "you're just trying to get a rise outta me" looks and drive on conversations.

To all you hash-holes who thought it would be funny to hashtag everything... Arseholes.

The worse is when people actually say it in conversation. Worst ever. Like...

"I really enjoy using hashtags in speech- hashtag I'm a dumbass."

Some things need clarification. Some things are interpreted one way and meant as another by the writer. I think it's important to try to be clear and concise and be free to discuss and talk about intent. It's really difficult when using just written word. So many things can get mistaken, so easily. A comma or punctuation can make all the difference in the world sometimes.

For instance, see these sentences.

Help Jack off the horse.

OR

help jack off the horse.

Same sentence. Two VERY different meanings.

*pounce*

I'm not above trying to get a rise outta somebody.. if yanno what I'm saying'..

but as a general rule, I mean things to be without malice. Aside from that, I agree that some people read with their own preconceived ideas that may have nothing to do with me. I can't control that part. What I can do, however, is reply with understanding and apologize if I've unintentionally hurt someone.

If you send me a naked picture because I said that I like spaghetti, lol.. you're on your own

(naked pictures should only follow comments about french food)

That is not at ALL like the edible arrangement that was delivered to my house

How did we get from edible arrangement to threesome?!

(just how many bananas is a woman supposed to eat anyway...)
There were 4 in that pic you were ogling up there. I just cut it down by one.

As far as how many, well, that's really up to you. As many as you like I suppose. ;)
