Do you evolve or follow? Evolution based on your ability to change and survive , following based on joining the crowd. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the one from the other.

I both evolve and follow. Publically I enjoy carving new ways, dance to my own tune, etc.
I do find comfort in following if I have trust in the person or thing I'm following. Following has actually led directly to my own evolution...
 
I'm not sure I understand the question because I see the two as intertwined. That being said, I do try to find a way through a challenge even if it means that I need to change my original way of thinking.
Isn't following just one pathway of evolution?

Both, I think. Evolution is a natural progression, but following is something that helps my understanding of dynamics, at least around here.
In my real life I'm more of a "go my own way" kind of girl. Adapting, evolving, sometimes going completely against everyone around me, though not illogically. There's usually a method to my madness.
 
Definitely both. Without both, one would be a very one dimensional character. You follow an idea, ideal, or school of thought, then take that knowledge and grow with it, making it something new and unique, adopting new ones to add as you go.

Assume you found lit as a single person...or unhappily married person...or...I just want to keep lit a damn secret ...person.
Then you get asked on a real live date...and the first thing you think is...Uh oh...do I have to give up lit and all its...err...benefits.
What do you do?

Does the date asker know about Lit? Surely no one would expect exclusivity from one date. Do the date and do lit. No need to give up the benefits.

Exactly. Make a decision about what to share once you know if this is even a person you want to spend more than one or two dates with.
