It was suggested yesterday that my question had too many words, so I'll keep it straight forward today.

Do you find it easier to be rude to a stranger or nice to a stranger and why?

My uncaffeinated brain can answer this one is a jiff. I'm nice to everyone...always. I just like the way it makes me feel.

Wooooo...
My now caffeinated brain made me add this...
Nice ...as in...polite. ..not nice as in..
I want to see your cockatars and requests for rp in my inbox

A stranger is a friend I haven't met yet... but once they opened their mouths to prove themselves an idiot, then there isn't another thing I need to say to them. (Some might consider that being rude...)

Nice. I always prefer polite over rude if doable.

I don't know whether it's the familiarity of contempt, or just plain laziness, but politeness always seems harder to maintain with one's nearest and dearest than it does with strangers. Particularly family.

But that may just be my family....

Did I answer the question? I need more sleep. Darn insomnia.

ROFL! ROFL! I vote the whole thread goes emoji. I'm not clever enough to post, but I'll enjoy the show. Plus, it'll drive Chained crazy. :D

what is this sleep you people keep talking about???

OMG. I don't feel like I've gotten proper sleep in weeks.

I'm very rarely rude. It's a better world when I am nice, even to people whose actions would justify a rude response. Peace and love.

(While the words of River Tam echo in my head... "I can kill you with my mind".)

Indeed... peace and love, peace and love. :rose:

I am kind, gentle, allowing, and forgiving. It's my nature. It is those times when I feel I have no choice but to be abrupt, or direct, more assertive, or God forbid, I choose to be unkind, that hurt me and cause me pain. I don't like the way it feels. And because I don't like the personal consequences of that choice, I try very hard not to do it.

Well, I guess what I mean is, it takes a concerted effort for me to be unkind, and when I've made that choice, I don't like the way it feels. It is much easier for me to be kind than unkind.

I'm incredibly kind.
So kind, in fact, that you'll wish I *had* killed you.
And then I'm like.."Make up your fucking mind, already! Smacking you to begin with would have been the much easier route..."
