I have two topics floating around my head today. One is about how/when you decide to leave lit. That's a boring, yet safe topic. The other was about vampire fantasy/play. In surfing through Lit yesterday, I came across a person who claims to be a vampire, and that playing with them will result in them taking your life from you, through your blood. I honestly had no response because I couldn't process it. Now that's a topic with some teeth.........but when it's tough to process, it's tougher to form a topic. So I'll just ask.....have any of you been down that road?
 
Vampirism gives me the heebie-jeebies. Even limited to online only....it scares me!

I usually leave Lit for extended periods of time due to work and other life events.

As for the vampire thing - no, never have. Not in my bag of tricks.

The blood, biting and vampire stuff is too fucked up, even for me. lol


IMO..you leave lit without any fan fare. These goodbye threads are annoying... the ones that leave once a week are even worse.
 
I have thought of leaving. I have stated that I have had that thought. I never said I was leaving. If your gonna go then go. Don't waver about it. I personally have not made up my mind. I suppose when I do I won't leave in some overly dramatic fashion. I rather just fade into the night.

I think for the majority of those goodbye threads it's more about the person looking for people to beg them to stay. It's like they need validation of how 'popular' they are. Then some reappear or don't leave at all.

I agree with Slinger they're annoying and make the person look like an attention seeking saddo.

And people wonder why there are so many goodbye threads. Nastiness drives people to find happy places. Lit is not all that happy a place anymore. :( I miss the old gang. All welcomes and how was your day. Not pithy passive aggressive behavior. You knew where you stood with those folks. Ah memories!

I've been here longer than you... and there is a bit of funny remembering going on. If someone started a whiny thread like that, they would have been sorry they did.

IMO, the difference is there were a lot more quality people here then, and less likely to start a thread such as that. I can think of a bunch of people that were awesome and none left with any fan fare. Just left. And never came back.

Oh I actually was agreeing on the fanfare bit. I think It is a cry for attention. But hey some people need to feel wanted and needed on here as no one IRL gives a fuck about them. So I simply tell them good bye, nice life and that is if I even bother to Answer the threads at all. Like I said. If I leave there will be no fan fare.

As to the quality of the people here, I agree there too. It has gone down. Now most are just snipping at each others heels or being judgmental bitches. Having snarky conversations in PMs counts in that. The whole lack of compassion on here is kinda scary. I remember when there was a welcome committee. Sign. Not to mention the PC police have moved in and white washed a lot of the place. It's just not as free as it use to be. Shrugs.

Was this prompted by the 5 year sentence imposed this week upon one of the actors who voiced Charlie Brown in several Christmas specials?
 
It was because I was too lazy to look up which verse in Luke 2 it was from and that I suspected more people would identify with Charlie Brown than with Gospel according to Luke.

Don't me turn this into a topic :p
