I can see some folks might show their vulnerability in a PM along with other information you wouldn't want broadcast generally because they are words written in confidence to the recipient (well, along with the duty staff at the NSA ).

Can you judge purely by what they post? It's often not so much what they say, but all the other subtle indicators, like how they react to another persons post, when they might post in a discussion (at the start or roll in at the end ), if they ignore a trolls crap. The ones that always stand out are independent minds who are not frightened to give their opinion honestly and without being rude or abusive . I keep seeing posts by Firebreeze on other threads and I have a lot of time for her.

Too many troll types just big mouth all over a discussion, like they owned the place. Maybe they only post drunk or maybe they are complete twats in real life? Excuse my bad word.

Another derail, sorry...and some vulnerability to go along with it.

Speaking of divulging, this reminds me of something very personal that you divulged way earlier in this thread regarding a very painful loss.

So, here's me divulging, as well...

From one mom to another, I have also suffered the loss of a child. We both know there are no words that can be said for something like that, so I just wanted you to know that I feel your pain, and it is like nothing else in this world. It makes you an extraordinarily strong woman, although I know we would prefer not to be strong in that regard. And, yes, it can certainly make us a little mixed up, too.

Wow, you people are bouncing around all over the place. My neck hasn't been this sore since watching porn on 75" TV. There's a lot of left/right action in porn.

It's Christmas time, with all the holiday festivities and traditions kicking into full swing. Lit is surprisingly void of any holiday spirit. Sure there will be a Christmas story contest in the erotic story part of Lit but besides a few "Merry Christmas" threads that pop up on the 23rd, it could just as easily be August by the looks of things.

But what would a more Christmasy Lit look like? I don't have a clue. What would you do to make it seem more like Christmas around here?
