One thing I've learned, beyond that I truly have zero control in here, is that people come and go. The presence of a person yesterday does not guarantee they'll be here today, and no good-bye is forever.

Many here have left and then come back. For those that have, why did you take a break and why did you come back?

I've got some sizeable gaps in my presence in Lit and usually they were simply the result of life - work, family, friends, other interests. I have the added layer of working a lot on a computer during the day, so there are long stretches of time when I simply have no interest in doing anything with a computer in my free time.

I like the approach and I think I get the best of Lit with it - I get to read a lot of amusing stuff, interact with some cool people - and at the end of the day, when people get sucked into various levels of drama, because I am not vested in it, it just glides by. That is one of the things I like about "List As A Bar" - come in, have a drink, check out the crowd - if it's good, stick around and have fun, if it's not go back out to your car and drive around the city as fast as you can, half liquored up.

I haven't left ever, sometimes I am not around for a day, or two (or should that be an hour or two? Nah.) and I don't really know why I come back. I suppose I just can't live without you lot for a very long time.

There was a period when I took a very long break from Lit because I found that I was losing whole days on the internet. And nights. It can be addicting. I came back, got my heart damaged, left again...and came back again, because I really do enjoy socializing with a bunches of pervy people here, but I am clearly not the same naive Litster I was when I started posting. Also, every now and then I still write a story and/or take pics of my boobs, and where else can I publish my smut and/or pics of my tatas?

HFF (Happy Fucking Friday) it's been a week, glad to see it wind down. I think the dog days of August is slowing everyone down. Not that going slow is necessarily bad but sometimes things slow to a crawl.

Thankfully Lit has a few people that can bring new energy to the threads they occupy. But there's always one that tried but doesn't have the knack. Do we acknowledge their efforts, ignore them and just let them carry on or call them out because who wants to watch insincerity anyway....
