I had this one Litster send me peonies. What kind of dick sends flowers to a girl? ;)

Oh dear!

I hope you weren't too shocked at the sight of those flowery thingies! The idea of sending flowers on here and not a nice, decent cock-pic!

I bet he was super charming and witty too. Sounds terrible. He probably is talented and good looking to boot.

And I bet it's crazy he didn't lead with a cawk pic, as his cawk must be as magnificent as the sunrise over the snow capped mountains of the cliffs of Ireland.

What a tool.

I wouldn't know how good it is. I mean he just writes songs and shit for me now.

You two are one of my favourite couples on Lit. You're not overly mushy....you've mastered the art of sarcasm & an on-line relationship...and you make me laugh.

Thank you. :rose:

Ugh. What girl wants that shit?!?

If it helps, I'll post a pic of my cawk. I hate for any girl to have to deal with this kind of shit.

And it sounds like it's an epidemic.

That's so sweet. Thank you! I'm certain we annoy the crap out of everyone here with our antics but we're almost always laughing together and it's wonderful. I'm glad we make you laugh too.

That's BEAUTIFUL, man!

Sarcastic?!??? Fuck that!!!!

My cawk is magnificent and I am witty and charming and rugged as the back ass of a mountain.

Ditto. I laugh right out loud when I come across those two. Can we give out some kind of award? :)

All this heavy lifting to get this back on track made this topic pop into my head:

How much effort are you willing to put into an online relationship. I know it's a tough thing to measure and the better the connection the less of an effort it seems to be. But if an ideal relationship is 50/50 are you willing to give 60/40, 70/30 ?

I think it depends. I don't think one person should carry the load all the time. I think it should be fair.

It may come as a shock to ye, but I have a fondness for Rainshine and her funny face. We've been going on two years now. There are times where it's difficult and things are hard. There are times when one person has more to give and the other person is weak. But that's the beauty of being in a relationship with someone you love; they supplement you. When I'm struggling or weak, I have no doubt that she would be there to encourage me and pick me up. When she's sad and hurting, I would be there for her.

It's important not to keep track of past hurts or wrongdoings. That is much easier said than done, but it's worth mentioning.

We are all human and we all value relationships differently. For some, the friendships here are fun and flirtatious and surface level. That's why some came here. Honestly, that's why I came here. I just happened to meet someone who has become very dear to me. I didn't expect it at all. I do, however, thank the heavens above every day for her. I don't look at my relationship as something online, other than that's how we met.

I will put in to that friendship and relationship what is needed and she does the same. Life is very difficult sometimes and hearts are brittle. There's a lot that we all experience that makes us hurt and bleed. I would rather experience those things and walk through them with someone I love. And for that, I'm willing to go through the hard times, as well as the easy times. I would actually say the better the connection the more difficult it can be sometimes.

I'm not one who keeps loads of close friends. I have a handful. Less than 5ish people that I would say are close, call them at any time friends. For those relationships, I would have the ratio be 100% me and 0% them for a time, when needed. I may seem like a jackass. But I am rather loyal. And on top of that, painfully stubborn.

I've said here before, Jesus had 12 friends. One sold him out. And that is Jesus. So, I must have friends < 12.

It depends really. I couldn't put a number on it. Sometimes it's more than that sometimes less.

Any online relationship I have is secondary to anything that happens in my real life, and I expect the same holds for my online partner. I find that if there's a real connection, the relationship can withstand the ebb and flow of things. So, sometimes it's me giving more, reaching out more, etc., and sometimes the other way around.

If things swing in one direction and burden one person too much for too long, then things probably are going to fizzle. I had one relationship a while back that was going strong (likely at an unsustainable rate) and he one day started missing our normal chat times. It was clear things were beginning to fizzle, and I only held on for so long. So, long answer short - I'm willing to give more, but only for a finite amount of time.

I've talked to several people who say they've had partners who are demanding of their time, get upset/angry if their partner is busy with real life, etc., and I don't get this mentality. If I wasn't getting the attention I needed from a relationship, then I'd presume he wasn't interested in me, and I'd move on. Easy.

Well said, Sam :)

What Sam says about sums up my thoughts!

Blah blah...

...let's see more cawk pics. ;)

I have a few people who are good friends that I met online. I don't know if I would call them online relationships. I was willing to bring those people into my real life...so that would put my effort level higher, yes?

I give 100% to everything I do, including my friendships. Those are the only online relationships I have, so if you're talking about romantic/sexual relationships, I'll bow out of this one. :)
