Ruby, that's exactly why I joined Lit and started my pic thread!

The one single thing that's provided the most happiness for me is realising who I am and the things I need and desire are not 'weird'. I know many believe 'shy' and 'pic thread' don't jive, but truthfully, when you feel as though you've been walking in someone else's body because you've lost who you are, you can (or at least I did) reach a point where you need do something drastic to figure it out. Drastic can take many forms, I know, but putting myself out there, when i was vulnerable, has made me stronger and more 'me' then I've been in years.

Every other soccer mom complained about her partner constantly touching her and I was like "OMG I want that!" I am thankful to have met some awesome friends and like minded people here

My perception of Lit Forums is that of a wild mountain creek. Everything is moving, it's teeming with various wildlife. It's a bit brisk when you first put your toes in, but you either warm up to the temperatures or put your shoes back on and ,"go home."

Frequently, I find the water gets warm and icky, but it's mostly due to the herd moving upstream. At those moments, I get out, wash up, and quietly sit on the bank and wait til whichever wildebeest shat the water moves along.

The water eventually clears back up, and I'll get in again.



Echoing Arianthe, people not being honest about who they are. I absolutely hate that.

It would be nice if forum sign up requirements included a series of qualifying questions. Which sections you're allowed to participate in would be dependent upon your answers.

Happy Sunday to all, and to all a .....oh wait, it's still 4 months until I go down that road.

So to take yesterday's topic and reverse it, what (not who and not finding your soul mate) single item has provided you the most happiness. Not a generalization but a specific. For example, for me it was the realization that this thread was going to be a lasting thing. I thought for sure it would last the day and fall into the wasteland of 99% of all Lit threads.

My answer is short, sweet and vain. The fact that anyone finds my thighs and backside sexy is simply incredible to me. I won't go so far as to say that realization has been life changing, but it has made me look at myself differently, for the better. I've spent the majority of my life (and marriage) feeling awful about them, and now even I sometimes like them. Took me a long time to post them on my thread, but I'm so glad I did.

I work from home for myself. So there's not much difference day to day. I don't have to hide my freaky deeky from my spouse so there's no denial going on here!

I typically subscribe to my favourite threads. However, even if there was a way for others to see my subscriptions, they're all pretty innocent.

I think there used to be a thread...screen capture your subscribed threads....?!? Maybe....anyone....???

As for my 'freak on'....as a mama of two pre teens and one mini dictator...I have no illusions to being able to keep a schedule. I take it when I can get it

Trolls - I just don't get them. Part if it's got to be a low self esteem issue. Some of it has to be a Napolean complex. We all know it's best not to feed them but how can we not. We battle between ignoring them so they don't get the attention they desperately seek vs not letting them think they are right or got the best of us. It's part of the price of admission here I suppose but I don't have to like it.

Trolls? I have a way to deal with them, but generally it's fun to watch people having a good old slanging match. I get trolled occasionally but happily other poster's do the same as me and develop troll-blindness.

I define a troll as someone who intentionally tries to piss people off on a thread by spewing angry/mean posts, and/or tries to deliberately provoke an angry response from someone, on topic or not.

I just had one ruin a thread of mine. The thread had basically run its course, so not really a big deal, but I couldn't help giving him/her one response. I just couldn't let a comment go, so I engaged. What are these people about? I honestly don't get it. They can't possibly be that angry i real life, can they?

I have just a couple of threads I subscribe to. This is really the only one that gets any action. It's the rockstar of threads. My pic thread is the band geek of threads.
