Happy Saturday everyone. Shirt and sweet this morning. What has been your biggest disappoint here at Lit. What one thing were you hoping for that hasn't come to fruition.

Feel free to continue to pay your response along any water way you'd like ;)

I really didn't have any specific expectations....
I just knew that once I became a Lit member I would be entering a world of varied personalities, some I like , some not so much....but that is life, offline or online...

It indeed has opened my eyes in regard to so many things...and not just in the sexual sense, altho, that is a big part of it...

The way people communicate , what makes them tick.....what makes them happy, aroused, sad, scared resentful, jealous, the list is endless....

I enjoy logging in as time allows and hopefully that feeling will continue.

Happy Saturday

I think people not being true to themselves is the most disappointing thing for me.
People not being truthful can be a huge disappointment. Fairweather friends can be a trait here, I think some people need to remember that behind the screen are real people with real feelings. Be upfront and honest about what you want. It's not much to ask really. I hate seeing people sad or feel they have to leave because someone has hurt them.

This sums most of it up for me.

I find myself waning a bit here the past month or two. I've been on here a year now, and have posted enough pictures to call myself a certified attention whore. Now, I'm posting pictures here and there to keep my thread from the true death, but taking very few planned out sets like I used to.

I've hit a few slumps here before, but they always were short lived, and I rallied from them. This one is longer, and maybe I'll take a break for a bit. Or not. No idea what I'll decide.

Turn, turn, turn, I suppose.

True Blood fan?

I've never been really disappointed by Lit. About the extent of my disappointment comes when I log on sometimes and there is little or no activity in my favorite threads or from my favorite people. I am rarely disappointed IRL either - I think it comes from having the right expectations for the right venue. With Lit, I come it with neutral expectations and then take what I find. If it is a quiet night or day I simply wander on.

My biggest disappointment here at Lit is quite often the behaviour of myself. The inability to speak my mind through misplaced loyalties....

Yes, I may wax lyrical about the hypocricy of others:
The "though dost protest too much" in public, whilst maintaining an entirely contradictory persona in private.
So many here are so happy to post about the faults of others, that they completely forget their own.

For a community of *allegedly* non-judgemental individuals, there's a lot of stone throwing in glass houses.

Do unto others as you would have done to you.
(Except for when it meets your needs).

*shrug*

*this'll be one of those (rare) edited-by-the-morning posts fuelled by the devil drink.

Hahahaha. I'm quoting so it's here forever. :D

True Blood fan?

Hehe I thought the same

Lol - clearly. Of the first few seasons anyway.

As for disappointments - I'm not sure I have any here on Lit. Sure there are a ton of nutcases who can't spell and like to send me idiotic PMs, but it goes with the territory. Not a disappointment.

I'm sure I've had people lie to me here about who they are and what they do - not a disappointment for me either. I suppose I expected it.

My name is Alice.

I'm from the second star to the right, and I'm a space cowgirl.
I ride a gravity-defying unicorn called HelloKittyGummyBear.

True. Story.

:D

I think my biggest disappointment is being judged by people who don't know me.

My expectations of Lit have been pretty spot on, there isn't anything that hasn't come to light that I thought wouldn't.

You can get anything you want at Alice's restaurant...except Alice. :D

Happy Sunday to all, and to all a .....oh wait, it's still 4 months until I go down that road. ;)

So to take yesterday's topic and reverse it, what (not who and not finding your soul mate) single item has provided you the most happiness. Not a generalization but a specific. For example, for me it was the realization that this thread was going to be a lasting thing. I thought for sure it would last the day and fall into the wasteland of 99% of all Lit threads.

The friends that I have made here....priceless.:)

Agreed!

Though I have only been a member of the threads a short time, there are a few people with whom I look forward to chatting, about anything and everything.

:)

Rainshine. Hands down. She has been a beautiful friend who was unexpected. Knowing someone like her has been such a lovely experience. I don't think friends like her come along often. For me, I've never known someone as sweet as her. I truly cherish every aspect of that relationship.

BBW lovers.
I don't care what you say, larger women have to "work" at fitting in to the definitions of "sexy" and "desirable." Confidence *does* come from within, but it always helps with you have a string of cheerleaders to help you along. After 20 years of being reminded I needed to lose weight and literally being made to feel unattractive, I can not thank the men (and women) enough who support my "Thick" thread and the "BBW Bold"...

I can't say one single thing has provided me the most happiness. Friends, for sure and some of the threads that I participate in and some that I started to start. If I had to narrow it down, though, it would be that thread about me.

The "My Cock is Bigger Than Yours" thread you started? ??

Yeah, I could see where you'd be partial to it :p :D

Um...that one led to some real humiliation. How was I supposed to know that my 3.5 inches wasn't the biggest cock here on lit?

The one single thing that's provided the most happiness for me is realising who I am and the things I need and desire are not 'weird'. I know many believe 'shy' and 'pic thread' don't jive, but truthfully, when you feel as though you've been walking in someone else's body because you've lost who you are, you can (or at least I did) reach a point where you need do something drastic to figure it out. Drastic can take many forms, I know, but putting myself out there, when i was vulnerable, has made me stronger and more 'me' then I've been in years.

And Chained, not a damn peep about Christmas ...because Christmas means winter*shudder*

Ruby, that's exactly why I joined Lit and started my pic thread!

THIS as well as R Aphrodite's comments. I thought I was a complete freak for having the drive and sexual appetite I have always had. Every other soccer mom complained about her partner constantly touching her and I was like "OMG I want that!" I am thankful to have met some awesome friends and like minded people here :)
