I'm in, I'm out, either that's today's topic or something more tragic ;)

Sarcasm, if there was an official sarcasm font, would you use it? Or would that take away from the value of sarcasm, because, let's face it, we all enjoy a flaming response based on a misinterpreted sarcastic post. :)

I don't need a sarcasm font since I am never in a sardonic mood and never ever would even think of responding to someone in a sarcastic way.

Sarcasm is my bestest friend :D
I think the font would help the numptys who don't 'get it'
But that would take away half the fun :p

No need for a font...those who get it will...and those who don't...well...fake a smile said it....that's half the fun....
Most people get the sarcastic eyeroll ....that's usually enough...

As for in or out.....well ....

I'd use a sarcasm font. I am rarely sarcastic, but even now and then it has to be done.

Hell no. It helps weed out the duds. If I see someone who doesn't get my incredible wit and humour, I put them on the shitlist, make a voodoo doll and poke their gibbly bits with little needles.

Sarcasm font please. Or wait, maybe I just need smarter people to talk to?

I HAVE A FEELING THAT PEOPLE WHO WOULD USE ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME AND LOADS OF EXCLAMATION POINTS AND QUESTION MARKS BUT NEVER ACTUALLY ENDING A SENTENCE WHEN THEY SHOULD OR USE PROPER PUNCTUATION!!!!!?!?!? LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

So, I don't think that they would totally get the sarcasm font.

I don't think I'd use the sarcasm font...

There are two types of people in the world. People who get sarcasm and people who get sarcasm.

Dammit man, you got to stop that. I was wondering my balls were killing me.

I thought it was…

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.
Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Argh! I'm going back in time when I actually had a class in Computer Science math. I actually had to do binary math. And hexadecimal math. You'd get problems like what is 1011 plus 0110 or what 1AB3 plus 4FF2.

Now my head is killing me.

It's a statistical fact that, regardless of the font, people who use a combination of upper and lowercase letters in their user names can automatically be assumed to be more sarcastic than those who don't.

Had to check my user name.... :D

Whew.

Are you kidding me?

These one line, blurted posts are always frustrating to me. I feel like I'm outside the club when I don't know what's going on. Now I get that 99% aren't in the know but from a Utilitarian point of view doesn't the frustration of the greater good out weigh the value of smug silent acknowledgement of those in the know?
