i have not peeked at the tributes, however, I've heard of them. Even read a story once about them. Can't remember who wrote it, though. :confused:


And what I'm most surprised by is how surprised I still am at some things around here. I mean, I really should know better than to even think twice on some of it, but... seriously, who doesn't do a double take on topics such as "anal bowling" and "Goat Herding With Your Prick: The Shepherd's Guide to Maintaining Your Flock"

It was one of the times I had to unbelieving my eyes do a double take of what I was reading when I clicked on a thread called "tributes" somewhere (it might even have been on lit! *fans self shocked*) expecting nice words about someone, virtually flower bouquets and the likes.

I haven't been surprised in my time on Lit. I came here from other boards and such, so I was already exposed (and jaded) when it comes to the wide variety of behavior we see online. My capacity for surprise was exercised completely during the first year or so I was online. During that year I was surprised by many of the things the other posters mentions. Now, I am mostly just amused by the parade. I keep waiting for the Shriners in their clown cars to come driving by and throw candy. :)

OK, cumming on a tablet is just gross. I can answer the last two topics with this: I'm shocked tributes are a thing, and I'm shocked anyone likes them.

I have certainly been approached to have one of my photos participate in tributes (as I'm sure most of us ladies here have been), and politely declined or just not answered. The tablet/phone tribute is new to me tho. Thanks, but no thanks. Go fuck up your iPad with someone else's image.

1. That people have "relationships" here, and/or meet in real life after interacting here. Yeah, I know, I'm totally naive.

3. Here's a new one: that men purchase "gifts" for women on porn sites. I've been asked a few times the past few months if I accept gifts, or if I had an amazon account that someone could purchase something for me from (I don't). Who knew?? Not this girl.

That's so polite that you were asked. I just found unprompted Av tributes in my box.

The same goes for the amazon thingy. Years ago I was sent an unsolicited gift certificate number that had already purchased Josh Groban's greatest hits, because that was his favorite.

I was like Who the fuck is Josh Groban? Oh yeah, like the Kenny G of easy listening.
