Good morning all, glad to see everyone got themselves tucked in last night ;)

I enjoy Mondays around here. Dynamics of life are always most noticeable on Mondays as it's almost a changing of the guard. There are definitely weekend Litsters and weekday Litsters. I hadn't really noticed that until I started this thread and paid a little closer attention to things.

What is something you noticed after being are awhile? What did being here awhile unveil to you?

1. When people decide to leave they usually leave cold turkey or not at all. They come back as alts or as themselves reconstituted.
2. Guys hardly ever talk to guys. Even skipping over them in the "....person above you" threads. I think that's a bit odd.
3. Many women receive unwanted PMs from people.
4. Dickatars are nasty.
5. There's a lot of drama, which I wasn't expecting.

After being here a year I've definitely noticed each board has a different feel. Some are friendly, some are not, some seem to have devolved to a cult of personality.

I have no idea who has Alts, who are guys pretending to be women. who has who on Iggy. I'm still surprised me that people bother to have Alts in the first place.

And I'm definitely on board with the consensus as to post count not equalling wisdom.

*sails through in a shopping cart*

I'm a weekend/evening poster simply because I work, and the logging on to Erotically Charged Websites is frowned upon at my place of business. :D

I couldn't care less if you have an Alt or not. Actually, with some Litsters, I might prefer they adopt one. Might at least give them something to redeem any piss-poor first impression they managed to inflict on us.

I never know who has alts, unless I read it on the Internet. I rarely can match up patterns of posting, that'd take too much observation. Unless a noob acts way comfortable to be a noob, then I put my Scooby glasses on.

I don't know who iggys me unless I see them skipping me in a question thread. So then I get 'em back by skipping them. Ha! Two can play that dirty game.

Care for a game of 'Leap Frog', my dear?

:D

Yes, because leap frogging is obvious when done, terribly rude.

No one posted after you, did they? *bats eyes innocently*

After being here a while, I noticed that I'm much more June Cleaver than I originally thought

Vagueness. That's today's topic and it falls in my top three of pet peeves. If you're going to post something here, or anywhere, please don't be vague/coy about it. If it's worth posting about, post all of it. Don't make those "not in the know" guess or worse, ask what the post is about.

Jumps back off the soap box, not exactly sure if I feel better or made an impact...

No, cause I'm also a thread killer!

This :):):) irritates the heck out of me. Why can't one :D suffice for 3 smilies?

I think I knew that about you. lol

What about this one????

I know someone who really, REALLY hates when people use this!!!!!!!

He claims it screams of redundancy.

That doesn't bother me in the least. I sometimes like it when people are indirect. It depends on the situation, but when conversation go in circles and never really land directly on the topic I can usually follow it. Though, if someone is just all over the place I'll lose interest.

*grabs the lube and dons some livestock surgicals*

Do I need to reach in there and get a bug out?!!! :p

That particular one, doesn't bother me. I have pet peeves, though. And, unfortunately, if someone manages to find one, I'm not very good about keeping quiet.

Everybody has triggers. Whilst sounding very human here, so please forgive me, it depends on my mood how big the offense as to whether or not I can be gracious .

Lol! Without reading further that was funny!

I find it slightly irritating. Mostly, I figure I'm just not cool enough to be in on it and go on my way. It would be nice if the posts made sense to everyone but some people enjoy the intrigue they are attempting to create.

You mean like politicians?

*hands up* I am guilty of putting a firework under bumbling elephants. If someone is prevariacating, I'm the one who'll say it like it is "So you think my idea is rubbish?" I love the reaction you get from being straight. There's a time and place for subtlety but sometimes, yea - cut the crap

In general vagueness doesn't bother me. I'm one to be vauge/coy as some of my friends can attest to. Usually I'm coy in fun and certainly when flirting. However when I'm having a serious conversation with someone, I don't like things to be vague. I want to know where I stand and I want the other person to know where I stand.

By all means, call me out. Buuuutttttt, you're going to have to provide a little more proof :)

I'm going to call you out right here, my friend! Sometimes when people aren't coy you go waving your big stick around and telling them to behave! Can't have it both ways... unless of course you're Hugh Jackman, then you can have whatever the fuck you want.

LOL & LOL. Because I can't stop laughing. Doesn't this fall under baseless claims? Why yes it does, and those will be ignored :)

And Kik is mobile app only, I'm feeling like an IT consultant now.

Well..... no.... I'm too lazy for that but it's scattered throughout the thread.

Also, is KIK a desktop app too or just phone?

This is just an attempt to get loyal readers to trawl through the thread and re-read Chained's words of wisdom/carefully considered queries/topics plucked from the air when pressed for time.

We all know sometimes Chained's posts are vague and he's even stepped in to clarify his intent on several occasions. Now, if Chained is happy to stop derailing the thread with such obvious attention seeking, we can get back to his topic of the day.

Vagueness due to poor wording or editing happens and while it can be confusing, there is no intent to be exclusionary. But vagueness to the point of rudeness is not fun to read. In-jokes and not sharing the real context of a comment in a post reinforces the cliquey nature of some threads and detracts from our enjoyment in reading them.

.....And don't knock being coy.
.....Coy can be fun:devil:

I’m probably guilty of this. Not necessarily from a desire to prevaricate, more from posting before a thought is fully realized in my head. There are so many thoughts in my head it occasionally takes a bit to detangle one from the other.

This ^ is pretty close to perfect. :)

Bitesback has summed up my feelings on this topic perfectly above. :)

I agree with that as well. :D
