I'm an avid road tripper. It's honestly my favorite way to travel. I am very much one with "the flow". When I road trip I am so about the journey, not necessarily the destination.

Like Suz mentioned, I'm totally down for 20 minutes notice for a trip to New Orleans. I'm happy if we power through or take a day or two to get there. Whatever feels right and makes sense.

I have taken power trips where I drove from Portland, Oregon to Dallas, Texas in 36 hours and others where it took me nine days to drive from b Las Vegas to Yellowstone. I love driving so much so all of it is fun for me.

I'm not a huge car snacks person. Again, I'm a go with the flow kinda girl. Sometimes that bites me in the ass, though. Like when I was flew into Great Falls, Montana and was driving to Billings (BFE). I had never been to MT before and niavely assumed that I'd be able to pick food up on the way. Hahahaha. Nope. The only thing I saw the entire time were wind farms. Same goes for the drive through Wyoming and Utah. All I wanted was coffee... I finally stopped at a McDonald's for coffee because I was desperate.

I don’t really like driving long distances. I get bored. Then I get a second wind and can go. Then I get sleepy. I just need a private Jet. When I drove to the Grand Canyon, the sheer differences in nature kept me engaged. I love snacking and loud music.

And wind farms. Yes. I want to get land so that I can have my own.

I can’t go more than four hours in the car before I go completely insane. I’m like The Shining, but in a car.

I guess the same could be said for planes, trains or anything where there is nothing to do. I need to move. I have to stop and go for a walk every few hours or so. I have driven super long distances in one shot, but I hate it and I start to become miserable.

I’m also not a jump out of bed morning driver. I take my time getting ready, but once I’m ready, it’s go time—no dicking around.

There can be only one road snack and it is a jumbo sized Peanut M&M bag and a bottle of Mountain Dew. I don’t drive healthy.

I’m about to head out on a road trip to West Yellowstone and onto the park! I enjoy road trips because for all of my life up to now I lived where there we 30 miles of road end to end! We did have boat trips though.
The weather looks good and the smoke has cleared! I’m excited! I love the trip but I like getting home too!

I've always been a huge fan of road trips. Whether planned or spur of the moment. Even solitary ones to reboot .... nothing like a long drive to sort yourself out and put things right again.

My road trip style is mixed. I'm an early riser so --at start-- it's usually get up and go at sunrise. I get too excited and antsy. Once I'm on my way, I'm more relaxed, am in no hurry, like to explore and linger. Returning home, I sleep in, stretch time out, leave at the last minute .... dawdle along the way .... and arrive home late, like 3 or 4 am in the morning.

I'm not a big road trip snacker. As long as I have something to drink (usually water), I'm good. If I get hungry, I'll stop along the way. That's how I've found some of the best donut/coffee shops and hole in the wall bars with the best burgers.

Yes. ^^^^ .... snacks I guess would be beef jerky and water. Coffee is my biggest need and preference. Part of the fun is finding little out of the way places. For me it was this little dive bar/restaurant/pancake house that served the best best piping hot cups of coffee and blueberry pancakes. 😊

Happy Monday.

Indulging. We’re all guiltily every once in a while in partaking.
That third piece of cake you decided to eat at midnight.
The last drink. (or maybe last two)
Too many shenanigans and now you’re rocking some high maintenance in your inbox/Skype/email.
Went with the elite package on your new car and damn that car payment.

What’s a sure sign you’ve crossed that line and you’re rethinking your decision?
And now it’s clean up time, get it all back to center*ish. What’s your plan?

and my fav car snack is pistachios and a bottle of water. I’m guilty of numerous coffee stops and something sweet to go with it- which then equals more bathroom stops.

haha that's me. I quit though because I have enough to make gift baskets, which I'd do if it didn't look so pathetic.
But I do still steal the coffee/tea  Now that I have a Keurig that can make the different single pods/cups. Work uses one too.. So.. They go in my work bag LOL

I'm too scared to try the lobby flowers though lol

The K cups, that's a good freaking idea. 👍

Donuts. Not your run of the mill Tim Horton's donuts, but there's a high end place in town and if I ever go there I get too many and eat them too quickly. There a law of finishing returns on donuts, as well. You have that first one and it tastes like another. That second is more of a "that's still good, but likely not necessary." The third, if you do it, is full of remorse. And then you have to take the nap of regret.

I don't get donuts hardly at all, that's how I combat the problem. I couldn't possibly do it with will power and being an adult about donuts.

Sure sign I've crossed a line is when I can't stop thinking about the same thing over and over and over again and the rationalization or reason I did something that I've been telling myself over and over and over again is starting to sound a little thin.

Like getting the upgraded trim package on a new car, quitting a job before I have a new one, checking in all online relationships when I should be doing something more productive (or with my family or friends in the RW).

"Clean Up Time" for me usually involves stepping back and trying to gain some perspective by withdrawing myself from the situation I created. When I've formulated a new approach, which usually involves a ton of apologies, I typically re-engage, admonishing myself every step along the way for getting into the situation I myself probably created.

Deep question! :)

Partaking in too many sweets now means insulin for me.
Too many Shenanigans in my messengers rarely happen now, as I've trimmed those down a lot.
My weakness is here.. Too much need for attention often means posting pictures, so I go back and pull them much faster than I used to. Then I step back

For me. It almost always centers around craving attention in some way. Then I'm in your face and too damn needy. I can often see this coming out in myself and have to step back. I can often tell when I'm craving attention from whomever will give it to me, vs who I know actually cares even when I'm not an attention whore.
When I reach out to those who don't give 2 shits about me unless they are bored, or no one else is around. I know I need to step back.

For me, most of my over indulgence just comes around when I'm blah. Food and bad-for-me people.

I quite possibly over indulged in my Smores consumption last week.
Traditional of course, tried Suz’s Reese’s PB cup combo - very good. Went with some Heath bar too. Not bad.
I’m thinking I hiked enough the follow day to burn them off. Crossed the line when you know if you don’t brush your teeth, you’re gonna have a cavity the next morning. Hands down.

What’s my plan, ummmm..... no more smores. 😢
This might get amended to weekends only.

My naughty or nice outside Lit shenanigans are guarded like Fort Knox. My very small contact list hasn’t changed in years. I don’t for-see that changing.
I don’t share myself very well- that’s just how I roll.
And cars, let’s see
GR Supra - do I really need that 3.0 premium package?
Should factor in some speeding tickets too just to be on the safe side.
Car dreaming this evening.

This is why I said no to the Dodge Charger I test drove. So tempting though.

That Supra is pretty fucking nice though. 😉

I often exceed the speed limit on the bike path. In lycra. I'm a damn rebel.

I expect this information will not make my inbox hard to manage. 😂

Everyone go check your text messages!

Who are the last 5 people you texted with and whaddya think about that? What does it say about you?

Not names, silly, relationships.

Here’s mine:
Coworker, work group text, coworker, coworker, BF

I think this^ means I had a blowjob of a workday yesterday, and at some point I remembered that I have an SO who might need dinner and at what time? It probably explains why I feel like a zombie this morning who wants to call in sick, and why I’m still lollygagging around, mainlining coffee, instead of firing up my laptop. Blaaaaaaah! :)

It also means my mom was quiet yesterday. Which is highly suspicious. She’s clearly up to no good on Twitter.

Okay... here's mine:
Sister, best friend, guy friend/former roommate, girl friend, group text with HS friends

Today is my sister's birthday, so she got an early morning text with an embarrassing photo from the 80's. My BF - we text all the time. Former roommate - he asked me to talk with a woman he's mentoring at work. Girl friend - she's my catty soulmate. Oh, the inappropriate jokes. Group text - the husband of a friend passed away and we were making plans to meet up before the memorial service.

My husband was kind of far down on the list! But I think it's because we're like siamese frickin' twins these days (thanks, Obama). I don't want to text him. :)

Best guy friend, Gossipy work friends, Goody-goody co-workers, CEO, Book Club

It means…
  • I had a smile on my face to hear from a friend who has been super busy lately.
  • My boss is still cleaning up from the hurricane so I can take it easy this week – woohoo!
  • But also, it is only Tuesday and shit-talking is already high on my list so this doesn’t bode well for my week 😊
  • I’m perpetually over-committed and will be reading the cliff notes version before our book club happy hour. (anyone read Daisy Jones & The Six and want to give me the highlights?)

But what if they are super famous and we wanna name drop?

Co-worker
Sister
Group chat
Friend
Mom

This means...

I'm lost again and am super lucky to have amazing co-workers who remember what it's like to be new in this role thus are happy to walk me through things I've never seen with patience and understanding, as that's awesome.

I heard a song this morning that 1) changed my earworm, thank god, and 2) reminded me of my sister so I texted her about it.

Someone is burning someone about their fantasy football team and I'm laughing.

Coordinating leave times for work and discussing how damn cold it is in the mornings these days.

Generally I text my mom a lot, but lately she's trying to fish information from me that she thinks I'm not telling her, but I just don't actually have. In a kinda fun and cute mom way, not in an annoying way.

Brother- It was so good to see you again, we need to hang out. Come spend the night.
Sister in law- Hey we need your sons address.
Family chat- Jokes about football.
Vet- Time for your follow up

We have a group chat on Facebook, So most of the family talks through that. Same with husband. He ignores his phone so much, I send it to Facebook first.
I talk with my daughter on Snapchat. Same with my daughter in law.
