So now Iām thinking about beer.
Reading a little about it.
Stella has been brewing beer for over 600yrs.
Thereās gotta be a reason and science theyāre using green bottles.
And totally off topic Claussen pickles are way better than Vlasic.
Uncooked and always cold.
Crispy.
Now Iām thinking fried dill pickles and beer!
Oh boy, my thoughts are going downhill.
Iāll never look at a pickle the same way again

Fried Pickles???? This is a thing?
I've read a couple of things over the years, the most prominent story is something as ordinary as a brown glass shortage after WW2. European breweries switched right green glass and it started to become associated with finer beers and it stuck, so here we are. If stored properly, green glass is fine, so is clear, but that beer has a long way to come before I get to store it. And it doesn't take a lot of light to cause he reaction with the hops that produces the off smell. Most craft beer here comes in cans for a variety of reasons, some of which are quality related (especially if unpasteurized), some of which are financially driven. Most beer in my fridge will be canned as it's mostly craft... But now I have a craving for a Stella.
Anyway, I've even read Stella came in brown bottles in Europe unto very recently switching to green. I have no idea, maybe a European Litster could enlighten me.
In Europe too they started after WWII for the reason you mentioned. Today, the decision is based only on marketing choices, as the use of green or transparent color is more attractive for the customers, apparently.
However, the craft beers of the most important breweries are always bottled in dark glass.
I always like to know more about beer. And there we go, thank you!I always like to know more about beer.
I guess green is more appealing? I dunno. I get that a brand may have been built on it, like Heineken (or Corona with clear), so I get continuing that, but I tend to care more about the taste of the beer inside. I'm not a marketer, though.
Fried Pickles???? This is a thing?
You're welcome.
The taste is the only thing I care about. The only beer in green bottle I drink is Becks, sometimes. I prefer craft beer and/or dark glass commercial ones. The ones I buy in the supermarket are either Moretti or Menabrea.
Fried Pickles???? This is a thing?
Yes!! Tasty too!![]()
I mean I guess I shouldn't be shocked. We can fry almost everything else. I'd just never heard of it.Oh yes, very much so and very delicious.
Oh yes they are!
Iād call them bar food.
Ok. If you still have apricots up there, Iāll make you a trade for fried pickles.
Meet half way.

How can I help you? usually does the trick. To me, it shows that words are more than just words, it's the action that accompanies them. I feel so overwhelmed most days that a little help would go a long way.
Whatās one question someone could ask you today to make you smile big and put an extra skip in your step?
Short and sweet today filling in for that busy bee Trekka.

"Do you accept?"
I was asked that a few hours ago and I did.
I start my new gig in a couple of weeks. My sabbatical/life as a kept woman is coming to an end. I loved every second of it, but it'll be nice to get back to work.

Iām moody.
Iām crabby. Social media doesnāt help. When i get too angsty I delete my apps and log out of here.
I allow myself to say ānoā more.
Not getting enough time to simply ābeā makes it worse. Iāve started hiking and taking longer walks, again.
Sex helps.
When Iām in a snit, I turtle. People who love me have a hard time with that, and I used to try to make it better for them, but of course that made things worse for me. At my age, I let that go. If I say I want to be alone, or donāt answer you on social media, I just donāt want to. And Iām allowed not to.
I usually apologize, especially if Iām a bitch, which I can be.
