Hip huggers.
Brazilian jeans.
Low rise.
Whatever ya wanna call em.
Used to me my come-hither jam.

Welp.
I can NOT wear them anymore!
I mean, I could. But it feels like they’re gonna slide right off my ass.

Asks aging self: Did ass become a sloping surface down which pants slide? Or did hips become a convenient and luscious shelf upon which pants now comfortably rest?

And before you say anything, you loud mouthed mofos, lemme assure you that I will rock your socks off in my ass-lifting, tummy-tucking, mid-rise mom jeans. So shut it.

God, they hug my torso just right. It’s like a tight hug. Except it’s pants.

Question- what did you used to rock, that you no longer have any interest in rocking?

Subquestion- what do you rock now, instead?

Pretty much everything.:D

Subquestion- what do you rock now, instead?
Pretty much nothing except low-cut tops.

Im not sure i ever rocked anything to be honest apart from my VS lacy boyshorts( just for you T 🤣). I used to wear high top chucks a lot, all different colours, surf or skate themed muscle shirts and cap on backwards. Doesnt really work for me these days and my kids pretend they dont know me.

My Havianas and boardshorts, ive never stopped wearing those though.

^^^^ :D

I’ve pretty much dressed like I’m either destined for a yacht or a board meeting since I was 16. I will continue to do so until Brooks Brothers stops making clothes. :(

So we have to go back further to when I was skater pmann. I wore Jncos. Yes. Jncos. Never again.

Heheheheh. I never rocked anything. Except the boat.

In high school I rocked baby doll dress and combat boots every now and then.
Perms.
Older years consisted of two door cars, wild parties all weekend long, bikinis, junk food and not making my bed.

Now I’m rocking living pretty sweet in the chill zone with a dash of evolve or be left behind sorta thinking.
And I’m still not so great at making my bed every morning.

I was born without style.

All of my clothes match all of my clothes. That way I can make no mistakes about things that don’t match. I’m a jeans and T-shirt kind of guy so I just grab the next clean pair of everything and it all works out.

The one thing I rocked when I was younger, and still do today, is wayfarer sunglasses. I like them because they’ve (sort of) been in fashion since the 1950’s. They have a timeless quality that jeans and T-shirts also have which suits me just fine. Pun intended.

You can never go wrong with Jeans and T-shirt.
I always say that jeans are like a Pizza. When you don't know what to eat? Order a Pizza and you are set.
That's how it works with jeans too. :D They are so versatile and can mix and match with everything for every occasion. I love them.

I used to dress more intentionally, coordinated and polished. I don't necessarily regret moving away from that and can still pull together an outfit if I need to but I just prefer to be more casual these days. I wore heels and shirts, neither of which I really wear anymore.

I used to wear matching underwear, including g-strings. Never again.

These days I'm in yoga pants or jeans and a t-shirt. If it's cold, add a hoodie. I wear gardening clogs pretty much all the time. I don't want wer feet any more because I'm in unpractical footwear. All cotton undies and no bra. I'm a mother fucking hippie.

Work. Work. Work.
Takes up a lot of our time.
Whether its the business casual 9-5 desk job or 4days off 1day on sexy firefighter gig.
Is your current career what you initially set out to pursue?
Did ya take any detours getting there?
Planning on finishing on this current path until retirement?

Bonus question: what’s your dream job and if you’re not rocking it now, why?

My job is dream job adjacent. Meaning that while headed for my dream job someone mentioned that I should pay my bills, have health insurance and be a productive member of society. Although I found this civic duty horribly offensive, I conceded.

I still pursue my “dream” but I also find it somewhat changing and I’m changing with it. So, in a sense, I’m where I want to be but, as Mr. Burns would say, “I’d give it all up for a little bit more”.

My current career isn’t what I initially set out to pursue, although it’s connected. I always knew I wanted to work with people. My path has meandered through the years but always stayed within the same vocation.

I definitely see myself finishing work in this career and this is my dream job and I love it. It rocks ❤️

High school and college it was pretty much all "grunge." I mean, I didn't rock the look. I loved my red lipstick way too much. But it was a lot of jeans and sweatshirts.

Now I have a more unique sense of style, a bit on the quirky side. I love flared skirts with fun shoes or maxi dresses and sandals. The older I get the less I care what others think so bring on ALL THE COLORS!

My dad buys my son a Brooks Brothers button-up shirt every year for picture day at school. My son will wear the shirt just that one day, and normally he has it off before he even gets off the bus and rocking his undershirt James Dean style.

It really seems like such a waste to spend that kind of money on a shirt for a kid, but whatevs. They are really nice shirts.

statement earrings, black eyeliner and red lipstick

My education is in two very different areas. I kind of chose one and ran with it - leading to my current career. I would say I took any detours but certainly took a few jobs that weren’t 100% what I wanted to do....but all those lead to where I am and I’m happy with that. The 5-year plan is to purchase the company I work for with a colleague of mine. If all falls into place, I’ll definitely retire down this same path.

My dream job is to own a bakery...but that is a hard business to make unique enough to become profitable. I’ll settle for perfecting my skills for now :)

I am nowhere where I thought I would end up but it's been a crazy, wild amazing ride.

I studied physics as an undergraduate and dabbled there for a little while before moving into medicine. I eventually found myself in technology and now am in Operations. I've collected a few impressive titles over the years but the more time I spend in the workforce the more I realise people who value that are almost always worthless. I'll take a social chameleon who gets shit done without a title over the VP of anything any day of the week.

I don't have a dream job. As a kid I wanted to be a train platform announcer. I was legitimately gutted when I learnt that they are all recordings. Now that I pretty much work for myself, I'm the happiest I've been in a while. That's the gift I hope to give my kids- independence from the 9-5 hustle if that's what they want. I never had a role model in that space and ended up burning myself from both ends to climb up the corporate ladder #silly

I never intended to be in my current career, though it is in my field of study. I'm good at it, and have had remarkably few detours along the way.

I'm close to a dead end in my current company without relocation, so I don't think I'll be doing the exact same thing until I retire...but maybe current-track-adjace.

I would have loved to be a doctor. A GP.

I love science. I fucking suck at biology. So that was never gonna happen.

Alright.
Maybe you’re having a tough time, maybe it’s just a random treat:

You’re making a gift basket for yourself.
What goes in it?

Yes, HW, you can fit a bare breasted Amazonian babe into your basket. ;)
