I hate top sheets, but I use them because I hate washing duvets more.

Top sheet, blanket, duvet.

Horses are pregnant nearly an entire year 😳 no thank you.

But, but, the duvet is in the duvet cover, you just wash that, no? Why a blanket between the top sheet and the duvet? Sounds horribly warm  Duvet must mean something else over there.

*Googles*

"UK duvets are plain white quilted down-filled bags which go inside duvet covers, in the same way that pillows go into pillow cases, and American comforters lie on top of flat sheets and are patterned themselves, and are more similar to cushions as the cover is not meant to be removed."

P.S. Nearly two years gestation for an elephant. Two years!

I live where it's warm most of the year. Top sheet, duvet/comforter is more common.

A comforter doesn't usually have a cover. They are big, bulky, often decorative things that won't fit in a regular-sized washing machine. Hence no-one's interest in washing the things as they likely require a trip to the cleaners or a jaunt to a washateria with large-capacity washers.

Yep. Either a chenille bedspread or a quilted comforter over a top sheet or a very light blanket here as well for most of the year. But when it's full-on winter and drops below freezing then a thick blanket goes on.

I've slept under a duvet with a quilted down insert and it was too warm for my comfort level. Plus the duvet cover wasn't soft enough to sleep under w/o a sheet under it. The thought that those duvets could be soft enough to do away with a top sheet is what I found interesting in earlier posts on this.

And I don't really like duvet covers. The duvet always wants to move around in there, which makes me CRAZY.

LOL. I am so neurotic. :p

Here ya go. Pineapple.

The duvets are like big, soft, fluffy comforters. They are, alas, still too big to go into a regular-sized washer. I was, however, charmed, being unaware of the custom of not using top sheets!

Holy Texas toast!
I’m gonna need to start charging for my JOI to afford those.
I want it all!
*giggling uncontrollably*

>>> Side note:. If you've never had the pleasure of watching a dude giving another dude JOI, I highly recommend you put it on your bucket list.

Highly.

I mean, take Wild Honey's advice above. Has she EVER steered you wrong?😁😁

Haha! I…don't quite know how to respond to that! (Do I ever?)

But from all I've seen I suspect she may have extensive knowledge of porn variety. Go, Wild Honey! :p

Spendy. But really cool. Have you ever owned a set of flannel sheets? They were unusual and too warm with a blanket and bedcover in winter. I've used a flannel liner in the past in a sleeping bag in cold weather though which worked out fine.

If you wanna be a partner, get your little toes wet I’m more than happy to guide ya on through. 😁

You are an angel of light and generosity!

(And I am so going to pass! OMG. 🤣 )

I like flannel sheets! But I get cold quite easily. :)

Sound's like your need a corded snuggle buddy then aka an electric blanket. ;)

I received a twin bed sized one several years ago as a gift to use while kicked back in a reading chair or napping on the sofa. I don't trust one on the bed though.

Quick hitter today.

Do you make your bed every day?
Why or why not?

Yes.
Even if nothing else goes as planned and the day falls to shit, at least I can climb into a crisp, made up bed at the end of it to sleep it off and start fresh the next morning.

LOL! No need to thank me.

To clarify:. I didn't mean watch as in watch a vid on redtube, I meant watch as in be present while two men put on a demonstration. ;)

Also really good is being the middle woman, so to speak. Receiving JOI from one dude to use on another. Put that in your bank and spank it.

Haha! I…don't quite know how to respond to that! (Do I ever?)

I took one of those career aptitude tests in high school and it said I should work in research. 🤷

I don't trust those things, either. But I do have a hankering to try a weighted blanket. Good for anxiety, apparently, and improved sleep.

I've been considering one for a year. I am a slow mover. :D

Crisp. *nods vigorously*

Hahaha! Oh, goodness! Quite possibly the best post of the night. :cattail:
