I'm also convinced that chained drips dry and that's why he hasn't answered.

Issues a "prying" citation, I met your "at least" request

FINALLY!!! :D

Props to VT for asking the tough questions.

*curtsies*

And I'm surprised she's not asking the really important question: when do you drink your first cup of coffee?

I mean seriously, that's important shit!

That's a tricky question. I mean, what if he doesn't drink coffee at all? Potential deal breaker.

What does it say for the people who brush their teeth in the shower???

I hadn't considered that possibility. I ... can't even think about that.

I'm also convinced that chained drips dry and that's why he hasn't answered.

Hang on, let me imagine that for a second ...

That's a tricky question. I mean, what if he doesn't drink coffee at all? Potential deal breaker.

But shouldn't you know about this important deal breaker?

And frankly, I think you're thinking about it wrong. If he doesn't drink coffee then
(a) more for you and (b) he's functional enough in the morning to make coffee before the coffee is made.

I personally, think that there is a serious, serious problem: I am generally not really functional until I've had coffee...so, how do you function well enough to make coffee, before you've had coffee?

(This question along with, (a) if 24 hour convenience stores are open 24 hours, why do they have locks on the door and (b) why do we drive on the parkway, and (c) park on the driveway? - keep me up at night...)

VT has engaged in a line of questioning referred to as "progressive inquisition". She starts off with benign questions in an attempt to sneakily get to information that she really wants. VT clearly has some training in this realm and I would advise to proceed with caution in any Q & A with her.

Not so much a drip dry but a slow evaporation that leaves a most refreshing post shower glow.

For the record, I drive on roads and park in my garage.

But shouldn't you know about this important deal breaker?

Ok, I'll answer this question, but don't judge me.

Ideally, someone who "likes" coffee but doesn't "need" coffee should go in early and make a pot. (It's important they appreciate a good cup so they know how to do it correctly.) This person should not drink any of the coffee until he/she has delivered a cup to me.

In the absence of a coffee fairy, follow these steps to morning bliss:

Step one: Make a cup of coffee with the Kuerig.
Step two: Start pot of coffee while drinking the Kcup.
Step three: Head off to shower with the sounds of brewing coffee in the background.
Step four: Wrap up in a towel and go have a cup of "real" coffee.

It's best if no one tries to speak to me during this process.

LMAO.
Does the person really have to like coffee? Could we just train them really well? And provide proper incentives?

Ohhh....I'm thinking that providing proper incentives could be kind of fun anyway...

Well now I'm even more curious. What information does she really want?

And I agree with you on the sneakily. It's one of her (and one other's) more charming traits.

I'm not sneaky, so admire it disproportionately in others.

It may be the three nights in a row on less than five hours sleep, but this^ just hurts me to think about.

*considers moe coffee*

Ooooookey dokey.

Takes one to know one, Agent Chained.

How long would you say this evaporation process lasts? Long enough to linger in the kitchen, naked, sipping a cup of coffee?

LMAO.

If the coffee fairy also starts the shower, he gets to join me.

a. They have locks on the doors in case of robbery. When a clerk gets robbed, they are to lock the door, call the police and not open up again until they are done the police.

b. We drive on parkways because parkways used to have a bunch of wooded areas, like a park.

c. Driveways used to be longer than a few feet. So you had to drive to get to the person's front door.

You can sleep now. *bows*

That makes no sense. Now you'll be telling me "close the barn door after the horse gets out"

Well, now there's an idea. I was thinking he might get to be VT's Teasee though, now that would be something.

How much of an effort do you make for your security? If you're in bed to you get up to lock the front door if you realize it's unlocked. If you think you left the iron on, do you turn around and check? If you're at dinner and can't remember if you locked the doors on your car, will you go out and lock them? Will you roll over and load your weapon on the night stand once the lights are off? (GB reply alert!)

I realize the greater the threat the more it drives actions but what about those things you do "just to be sure"?

LMAO. Honestly, for the most part, if it were up to me, I'd probably not get out of bed to go check the front door etc. (of course that would totally depend on the neighborhood). And there is no WAY I would even leave the iron on because that would imply that it even was ever on...

However, it's not up to me. So, I get up. Even if "I" just "think" I didn't lock it. (e.g. unless she's sure...then...). And the iron, and we unplug the toaster before we leave for vacation and turn off the water (because, once, a friend had a pipe burst while they were on vacation....etc).

I lock the front door myself every night. If I get up in the middle of the night for a drink (or potty break), I check it again. I'm a little OCD about it.

I also manually lock the car doors (you know, that button on the door itself). I will then lock them again with the remote half way through the parking lot just to be sure. Ok, maybe I'm a lot OCD about it.

Iron? I'm not even sure where it's at. I know I have one, but I haven't seen it since I moved two years ago. That's what dry cleaners are for. I do unplug things, though. I don't go back to double check. I just don't forget to do it in the first place.

My weapon is always loaded.

Safety first, people! Where's my merit badge?

For the record, Mr. Citation, my inquisition was nothing compared to your survey of home security measures. Just what are you planning? *looks suspicious*

Well now...

Out here, we just lock the doors and glance at the .357 under the bed.....

I have 2 dogs. They are my house alarm. I fall asleep with the back door open when the weather is nice. I never go back and check because I rarely use anything like an iron. I do lock my car and maybe twice for good measure.

I thought I was security conscious, but after reading VT's post I realize I am not. In the slightest.

I am a front door checker. And a car door checker. And an appliance plug-in checker. But not to the tune of acute paranoia. :p

Well, aside from checking that both sets of sliding glass doors are locked. We live in an apartment building. On the top floor. But that is perfectly reasonable.

CAT BURGLARS EXIST

Iron? *thinks*

Pretty sure I don't even own one.
