Ok. I've got one. I have two original paintings in my dining room, done by an artist friend. They're done in a Japanese style, where you take the thing you're painting, paint it, and then basically stamp it on to the canvas. They're fish. Yes. She painted dead fish and I hung them in my dining room. I love them.

What item do you have that no one else seems to care for? Why do you have, clearly it's odd, might not be practical, and has little value beyond you. So why does it have a hold on you?

I have the letters my grandfather wrote my grandmother while they were courting. None of my aunts or uncles wanted them. To me, they are...continuity.

My husband hates it. Most people see it and just kind of tilt their head. It doesn't go with our kitchen decor. I adore it. It reminds me of a clock that my great-grandmother had in her lake cottage, so I will never part with it.

I think if Lit has taught me anything it's that it defies science. I've seen people create something from nothing. I've seen one action create a reaction that is by far not equal. Maybe opposite. But certainly not equal.

When a kiddo is not feeling all so great. Life gets rearranged, sleep is usually thrown out the window, stress and concern peak at an ultimate high and I get quiet.
