I think it is now clear that Papa C would be quickly fired from his barrista job for giving coffee away to anyone with boobs. ;)

It'd take a couple weeks before they realized the increase in traffic and the decrease in revenue. But what a glorious two weeks it would be :)

Ladies and gentlemen. ..I interrupt this program for a very important message...

kilted yoga

Gaaahahahaha i *just saw this* on FB and RAN here to post it and Ruby beat me to it!

Hot damn.

I'll be teaching a yoga class via Skype at sunrise. Starts next week. I'll mail Pmann and Chained their kilts in the interim and then we can get this party started!

You need a partner, I'm super flexible.
And is it's hot yoga? I wanna see sweat drip from their gorgeous bodies.

I do like this idea, a little switcharoo here and there.
Instructor/student. Instructor/instructor. Instructor/instructor/student.

Yeah yeah, what she said :)

Topless +/or kilted couples hot swinging yoga. Deal. Brilliant.

Are you willing to push yourself with someone you know, knowing they are there for support and help or would you rather push yourself with someone you don't know realizing that should you fail, the embarrassment of someone you don't know is less than with someone you know?

I really don't have any fear of failure - simply because I've failed often enough that it kind of rolls off my back like water off a duck. Being an extrovert I put myself "out there" all the time, with my friends and with strangers. Life is always best, in my opinion, when you're engaged in it. Nurture emotionally complex and rich friendships. Engage with strangers in passing at every opportunity. In your professional life take risks and push yourself.

New topic.

From time to time it's fun to look at the personals, and I'm always intrigued and wonder what the success rate is. I mean wouldn't it make more sense to go to a board and chat some people up? The return on investment has to be so much higher.

And what about those people who post a personal never get a response and bump it over and over and over? I'd think that by the second bump you'd get a sense that it's time to regroup and try a new tactic or personal.

Or am I missing something?

Hope springs eternal, right?

I always assumed that most of the "action" from a personal ad would happen in PM. So just because someone doesn't have a lot of responses on the thread, I guess I figured they must get PM's after they bump?

Maybe I should create a personal ad for scientific purposes...

I absolutely think you should. But you'll have to change you're AV, and delete your bio. Lol

I posted one once, a handle or two ago (usernames, not jugs of booze). I recall emptying my inbox twice a day for a while--full of filth. I needed bleach, hydrogen peroxide, and a shitload of lye to clean that sucker out.

I think you should test out this theory, share all PMs and write up a report. Hell, maybe even create some sort of spreadsheet or graphs in Excel. Color code it and make it all pretty.

SMN and I could help you organize? I'm certain we could rustle up some sexy secretary stylings...

An interesting concept but alas, my cover is blown and I'm too lazy to make an alt, inmay nwber knownthe answer to my own question. I can live with that.....

What in your life have you decided you can live with? Why have you chosen to, and what would be the price of not living with it?

I had to think about this one for a bit. Basically (and this is a strength and a fault) I'm a pretty driven and uncompromising person so if there is something in my life that is a source of irritation, I tend to deal with it swiftly and decisively.

However, on deeper introspection there are a couple of things I "live with". Some years back I had a severe injury to my right leg and foot which resulted in several surgeries. My surgeon would like to go in one more time and work on the foot - but there's a 50-50 change it wouldn't do any good. Since it would be an involved surgery and require several months of recovery time hobbling around on crutches, I've declined to do it. I can live with the slight limp and the mild to moderate discomfort and I've learned to work around it.

I also financially support a nephew who has a terminal medical condition - his father, my brother, should be doing it - but my brother is an ass-hat and the two of them have bad blood between them. It's inconvenient, but something I choose to do. I'd have more problems with my own conscience if I failed to support family, so I live with it.

There was a guy named Diamond something that used to post every damned day a new ad. Or every couple of days. And no one ever responded. I don't think I ever saw anyone give him any love. But like clockwork, he posted his shitty, creepy ad. I have to wonder if he was just hopeful or if he ever got responses.

When I first got here, I posted an ad. I don't believe it got many replies on the thread, if any, but I got a large number of responses.

I suppose the benefit of a personal ad is you can be specific about what you want. Sort of like online dating, I guess. Read a profile. Pick who you like.
