Going into week two as our fearless leader is chasing down .... well, what ever he's doing. :)
Happy Monday to all you and warm boob squishes to start off the week.

We all cross our fingers in hopes of winning the PowerBall or what ever lottery your state has. How much money, (after taxes) would it take for you to quit your job and live out the rest of your life comfortably?
Think you'd be happy with 8 million dollars, or comfortable in your book is closer to 80 million and up? What's one thing that is a 'must have' in this new life of fortune?

To do all that I wanted? 25 million would get me there. 6 million I could quit working and live in earnings alone.

Must have for me? 6 month vacation. Then its back to doing something worthwhile. Or maybe just a ham sandwich.;)

I wouldn't quit. Even if I won enough to live on, I'd still go to work.
I might only do a few days a week and it might not last many decades, but I couldn't not do it.

Canada does not tax lottery winnings so I could keep it all mwah ha ha;)
How much? I just want enough so I can pay bills without figuring in my head if u should shuffle money around...fill my fridge...keep a nice house and car full of gas ..put my kids through university or help them buy their first home. I don't need extra but I'd sure as heck find something to do with it

How much to retire on? Well, I am already retired, and I hope we have planned our retirement finances well enough. So the amount is not really tied to retirement other than how much more we might be able to do such as travel.

What would be my 'must have'? My top priority is likely to ensure that our kids and grand kids all get a good education and have good homes.

Me... Assuming this dollar amount is after taxes, I think about 4 million would get me to start working. I'd make my wife keep working, but I could quit. Oh I'm kidding, of course. I don't need loads to live on. Life is pretty cheap here and I don't have lots of things keeping me bound in terms of debt. Well, nothing at all, at the moment.

I think $15M would get me everything I could ever want or need.

I'd likely still go to work. But I'd do a half assed job. Hell, maybe a quarter ass.

Gotta keep up on those witchcraft skills, eh?

Also, I don't have kids or grandkids so I want my check for my funeral to bounce. I want nothing left when I die because I can't take it with me.

My must-have would be a house on a Lake Michigan with a fair amount of acreage around it. And a nice house on that piece of property. Plus I'd need another house somewhere south to be able to escape winter when I choose. Maybe in the Carolinas somewhere. I'd also want the means to travel whenever I chose to do so. And to be able to make sure my mom, my husband's parents and my sister's family were comfortable.

So I'm thinking $10 million would do it. And I'd quit my job eventually. I wouldn't do it right away because I wouldn't want it to be obvious that I just won the lottery. I don't need greedy mf'ers hounding me for money.

*adjusts halo*

I'm gonna be greedy and go with 75 million.
I have all sorts of cool ideas for start up businesses and community garden projects. Gonna need some start up cash. Pretty sure I wouldn't quit my job, I'm freelance so I'd just steer my time and talent towards my own entrepreneurial endeavors.
Must haves, a maid and cook. I'm sooooooo done with laundry, dusting and grocery shopping. Done I tell ya! :p

I'm very sad to hear about Gene Wilder's passing. I have always had a bit of a Willy Wonka crush on him.

Pretty sure I'm going to need some pretty filthy, kinky, dirtydirtydirty oompa loompa roleplay to help me through my grief stages. Just sayin'.

MERDE!!!
I wish they had waited until he was gone to remake "Willie Wonka"
He's with Gilda now, laughing their heads off!

Oh man. Which is sadder-- that Gene Wilder is no longer with us? 😥 ...Or that I glean a good most of my news updates from Lit?!

Sorry, doll. I googled a bit and just ended up lost in very portly women with little men porn. Not on purpose.

The phrase "Fuck me, cookie man!" will haunt me for a loooooooooong time.

I think you missed a golden opportunity for a thread derailment there. Links or it didn't happen.
