Quality over quantity. However, that doesn't mean that I always buy name brand. I am well aware that some name brands are not a better quality, just a higher price to have their brand name. And sometimes the increase in name brand quality does not match the significantly higher price. So I avoid those as well.

An unwanted trend I see in stores, mostly grocery stores, is that the store removes higher priced, higher quality products and only stocks the cheap version. I don't see why a large grocery store cannot stock both budget priced items as well as higher quality/higher priced versions. Are so many people buying solely based on low price that we no longer can find quality items? This is disturbing.

Rushes in, slightly out of breath.....tough staying one step ahead....

Short answer to the question: quality always, no one ever complains about something being too good. As far as buying brand name, I'm a big proponent of rewarding those who took the risk to bring something to market vs those who say back putting out lower priced versions.

And I never said SM didn't look good. I suspect she always looks good, behind the wheel or whereever she happens to roam.

This question implies choice. I dont always have such leeway. Gotta get the needs met first. Room in the budget after that for a splurge? It usually goes to experiences-- a nice pedicure, a good massage, a decent hotel room for the weekend...

...I wont scrimp on mattresses or sofas. Soft things.

But I refuse to pay full retail price for snazzy matchy-matchy furniture sets. My furniture is all second hand/ good will/garage sale/dumpster dive rehab jobs. :)

I'be never experienced high sex before, because I'm an innocent angel and I don't dabble in the crack cocaine. I'm assuming that's your drug of choice.

I just rehabbed two end tables!

Quality over quantity. Do you follow this rule of thumb in everything you purchase or just certain items? And do you think it holds true, the more you pay for something, the quality increases along with the price? Anything you refuse to buy as you feel you're just paying for their brand name?

Some things I prefer quantity over quality. Some things quality.

There are a lot of things on which I'll spend a premium. Shoes. Instruments. Clothes.

With clothes and shoes, I do find that, up to a certain point, you get a greater return on your money. Some of it is preference. I only will wear one brand of shirts. I like their fit. I like the fact that they have a nice crease in them that stays there wash after wash. That's right, I care about that, motherfuckers. I don't want to go around creaseless like some wandering jackass. Am I a fucking animal? No. I think not.

However, that doesn't mean less expensive stuff isn't good. It just means that, for me, I prefer to pay more for what I get in some instances. I just can't imagine a life without a nice, crisp crease in the shirt.

Usually the case is you get what you pay for. That's not always true, but mostly.

I refuse to shop at Whole Foods because that place is so overpriced it makes my dick hurt. However, I don't do the grocery shopping so I lose that battle.

Now, now… we've talked about this before. It's not the overpriced tomatoes at Whole Foods that are making your dick hurt. And remember, the doctor told you that you need to take the whole prescription this time.

I'm certain they are why my pee burns. It's the entire reason.

I like you in control!

I'm a big believer in quality. I'm willing to pay more for something that will last, or is better. I'm not much of a consumerist, and only buy things I really need or want. I mean, I'm a girl who owns five pairs of shoes. As others have said, quality may sometimes costs more, but not always. I don't pay for a brand name for a brand name alone. I'm not going to drop thousands of dollars on a Louis Vuitton purse just to own one. I prefer my one of a kind leather purse that cost me $70 and is made dare I say better than the brand label. Fuck keeping up with the Jones'. They're broke.

I will also never compromise for bad food. I always regretted it, and it took thirty years to learn that lesson. Also, it's amazing what a major health scare can do to reset your perspective. I also realized that it costs about the same (monetarily) if you're willing to put in a little work.

I walk away to make dinner for... two hours? And when I return I learn Pmann has the clap and Aussie is into piss play. Phenomenal.

*whispers* Looks like we all have more in common that we thought ;)

Oh, sweet Jesus - Trekka got the clap from drinking pee again.

Going into week two as our fearless leader is chasing down .... well, what ever he's doing. :)
Happy Monday to all you and warm boob squishes to start off the week.

We all cross our fingers in hopes of winning the PowerBall or what ever lottery your state has. How much money, (after taxes) would it take for you to quit your job and live out the rest of your life comfortably?
Think you'd be happy with 8 million dollars, or comfortable in your book is closer to 80 million and up? What's one thing that is a 'must have' in this new life of fortune?
