When you see someone excelling at something, such that it makes you watch, does it ever inspire you to pursue a dream? Whether it's an athletic feat, a musical performance or maybe a home project, do you observe and want to go do your thing or do you see, enjoy and then move along?

I admire them for the accomplishment, but I'm a realist. I'm never going to be in the Olympics or paint a masterpiece. So for those I enjoy and move along.

For other things, I'm very competitive, mainly at work or - yes, I'm going to admit it - at sex. If a partner tells me that someone in the past gave them the best blowjob they've ever had, well, that's a challenge I just can't pass up. I *will* replace that person from the past and the memory ;)

This question hit me hard for a number of reasons.
I've been following the Olympics a lot, and I'm proud to watch my colleagues kicking ass. I was so close to being an Olympian in Beijing, but suffered a horrible career ending injury. Watching the games is so bittersweet, as I feel robbed of my chance. It's really personal and not something I admit often.

I am highly competitive and driven, and can celebrate other's success. I still want to be at the top, so seeing someone else soar gives me fuel to push myself harder

Yes and no. If it's an interest and doable, than I'm like "bring it on!" And I'm okay to sit back and admire ones dedication and skill w/o getting all jelly.

There are small moments when I feel like I can't do what that person has done, but if it is something that I am passionate about, I soon find myself concocting plans to ascend my own Himalayas. I'm in the midst of that right now.

I'm probably the least competitive person you will meet, but I enjoy the feeing of sharing successes with others, even if they are of the same kind. There is room at the top for everyone.

This makes me think of the first time I saw a stripper climb a pole, live.....

I was so enamored i bought a couple lap dances just so I could pick her brain - asking for tips... She showed me a few moves... Recommended some sparkly berry scented lotion... ;) I brought all the knowledge home. Added it to my bag of tricks. Money well spent.

This made me laugh soooo hard. Love it.
Makes note to talk to Mr. about visiting a strip club this weekend. Seems like a win-win evening.

It's win win for everything except the bank account :) But I have a ton of fun when I go! I'm usually the instigator too. The menfolk seem to find that sexy? Anyways it's like ... Lit-Live in there! It's a whole 'nother world! And then you get to go home and climb *giggles* an even better pole. :D

I like the sound of that

I used to pole dance. It's way harder than it looks.
