Well, these things definitely make me cringe, but they seem unavoidable. I feel that I have above-average intelligence to some degree in certain things. I understand complex things, things that require deep thinking. I'm also booksmart (as it should be because I read...a lot). I'm very intuitive. I'm emotionally intelligent.
That said, I struggle in everyday simple things, the common sense things, the jokes that everyone else gets all the while I'm the one busting out laughing minutes later because I just got the joke. I could seriously get lost in my own house. My head is always in the clouds, it seems.
I've heard it said quite a bit, starting from back when I was a child, that for someone who is so smart, I'm also very ditzy.
This reminds me of something my ex husband would always say. If I heard it once, I heard it a thousand times...he would laugh and say "it's okay, just sit there and look pretty". He may have been on to something there, lol.
Also, no matter how hard I try to be graceful, there are just those times when I'm incredibly clumsy. Like, walk face first into a wall clumsy, trip over invisible things in a room full of people clumsy.
I'm okay at expressing myself in the written word. I'm not the best conversationalist. I'm a very quiet person with spurts of talking when the subject is something interesting to me, or something that I'm passionate about, or upset about, and then afterward, I mostly wish I would have just kept to my quiet self, anyhow.
So, there you go, the cringeworthy, flakey, ditzy, aloof, smart girl who is impossible to have a conversation with, heh.
