I tend to get hung up on the whole bad boy/bad girl thing. I find that if you scratch below the surface it's more about a certain desired "look" or certain desired behaviors. The old cliche of the bad boy/bad girl with the heart of gold.

It never worked for me, since often "bad girl" has translated to someone who a whole lot of drama I could easily live without. I will take a "good girl" any day.

I concur. No drama ;)

Men say they want a lady in the parlor and a whore in the bedroom.
True or false? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'd go with True as well. As a man, I want someone who is sexually liberated, but who can also function well in polite society - who brings grace and confidence into both arenas.

True. And I think it's the very essence of misogyny. Be comfortable displaying a sexual side when they find it appropriate.

I don't disagree-sort of a 'know your place according to the role which I've defined on your behalf'.

Agree with this. I've gotten a finger waggle or have been declined a request because Mr. either wasn't in the mood or didn't feel like sharing me. So his mood or decision trumps my want or desire? Sometimes. We get out of sync here and there, but for the most part we're good.

I'd have to agree and disagree politely.

If it's one sided and directed, then yeah, bad idea.

But if it's mutual, then more power to the couple.

Doesn't everyone want to have a satisfying partner is all arena's of there life? (i.e. a man or woman who is exciting and satisfying in the bedroom, as well as gracious and kind outside of it, who stimulates you intellectually as well as physically. someone you're comfortable taking to see the family, or a work dinner, or entertaining friends - and yet who sets you afire behind the scenes?)

Well there is a reason you don't hear men described this way. There's a lot of control involved with women's sexual expression. And that doesn't translate the same way to men.

If a man ever tells me he wants a whore in the bedroom and a lady in the living room, I basically assume he is a controlling sexist asshole. Or just dumb.

I agree and disagree.....I've been with many women who have had it backwards; prim and proper in the bedroom, but a whore everywhere else. Not fun making excuses to friends and family, not fun always sleeping alone.

The one thing I have learned from my time back at Lit is that communication is the key; if you can't communicate effectively your needs, wants and desires, the relationship will end in disaster. And it helps if your partner understands what you want......it's a 2-way street, for everything, from household chores to sexual fantasies.

A rare hijacking that didn't involve gay porn, how novel.

I'll answer. Yes, I want my female partner to be the kinds of freaky/kinky that feeds into our sexual relationship. Not just behind closed doors but whereever our desires lead us  Her level of freak/kink has to match mine and then it's no longer freak/kink it's just "us".

Outside of sex, I want my partner to be my equal. I want her smart, sassy, definitely not subservient. She needs to be who she is more than she needs to be something I want her to be. If who she is matches what I like, well then, there you go.

Says the man with an AV of a chained up woman.....

To be fair, it doesn't have to be one or the other. He can easily be both.
