My mister is a fan of morning sex. I'm more of a late night kind of girl. I'm not opposed to morning sex, but nighttime is my preference if I had to pick. But we've figured out how to make it work. Sunday morning is almost always a fuckfest. And I can drift off to satiated sleep afterwards for a little while. :D

We don't have little people in the house, so we lock no doors. And occasionally make the neighbors uncomfortable by forgetting about open windows and curtains. :D

We don't have kids in our house every day. (Both divorced. Our house is Grand Central Station of kids coming and going. On any given day we have as few as 0 or as many as 4 under our roof. Door are locked accordingly.) My upstairs neighbors have the noisiest dogs. I repay them by making it very *loud and clear* that I have more sex than they do :D

I think I mentioned previously that I was posting occasionally around the Playground for at least six months before anyone every commented or responded to one of my posts. I don't think it is intentional, but I do think there's a bit of an initiation phase. But at least it isn't a full-on hazing.

And I lurked on this thread forever before I ever posted anything. It felt totally intimidating to join in the banter. Eventually, I realized that you just have to jump in. And it turns out that I'm fucking h-i-l-a-r-i-o-u-s, so I got that going for me - which is nice. And I have boobs. :D

Should we post pictures of boobs now?

Sorry, there was talk of Suz-anne's boobs, so of course I had to respond to that first.

So, newbies ... I still feel like a newbie sometimes. When I'm feeling like a Lit guru, I try to welcome the newbs. The exception would be when newbies jump into an ongoing conversation with, "I'm horny" or "I need to get laid". Then I practice the "if you can't say something nice" mantra and let it slide. I figure they'll settle down in time and learn the flow of the threads. I'm never mean to them, just silent when necessary.

I try to test them a little. Small, nothing major, get a sense of their sense of humor, then move on. See what sticks
 
Being in the newb corner can be frustrating. First you don't know anyone and worst...they don't know you...so you may say something and the perception of what you say may draw a reaction rather than the intent simply because you have no history to judge your tone.

Second..trying to understand the speed and rules of each thread left me sitting in my chair sounding like Homer Simpson each time I tried to jump in a fluid thread that requires a speedy answer or your reply comes out after four other people have already answered...or you don't remember to quote and no one has a clue who you are directing your comment to...hence the DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH moment.

The other thing is it is hard to break into a thread sometimes...at first it may appear cliquish but in reality it does so only because you have to flip back for days sometimes to see exactly what the hell the conversation is really about because when you are involved directly in a conversations that has all sorts of twists and turns and side tracks...it's great...when you are trying to break the ice...it can be a WTF moment.

I have just learned not to worry about the small stuff...just stick my head in...make my comment and see what sticks and then just move on. People here in the playground as a whole are very friendly so just ease in from the newb sidelines...post in threads that don't have a short reply time and sharpen your skills and just become visible so you can knock that big N off of your back as soon as possible.

Now where is that boob discussion? Can someone point me to the right room?

By the time they've found the playground, they've got a few posts under their belt and chances are they've received a tongue lashing on the GB for asking a stupid question like "is it normal to dry hump my pillow as a 42 year old dude who lives with his mother?".

I was kinda like Suz_anne in the sense that I didn't know how to start in the playground. I've only been here for a year, and fit in rather quickly. It helped that the first friends I made on lit were Pmann (on the GB) and IHateClowns. If you're going to fall into stride with some prolific posters, those two are decent company and with the exception of tiny penis dick punching, Pmann ain't THAT bad.

Like VT, I have little patience for the "me so horny" and "here, have a dick pic". I let them be, wishing silently they'd pull that stunt on the GB. Evil Aussie!

I agree with his experience as I recall all that rather vividly.
