Hahaha. I have been the local handyman around the house.

1. Pmann fixes leaky faucet last night.
2. Pmann installs faucet handles in the wrong direction, discovers this late last night, so you have to turn on the water the opposite way. I had a 50/50 chance of getting one right. I got two wrong.
3. Pmann goes to fix the backwards handles. Forgets to turn off water under the sink. Sprays everywhere.
4. Pmann finally gets it all fixed.

We won't mention my ability to repair my back flow prevented this afternoon.

I think there's a Roto-Rooter joke in there somewhere….

I think breakups hurt worse the older you get. You're looking forward to settling down and starting a family. Finding a routine and working towards that "comfortable" part of life. I'm sorry to hear your heart is bruised. Sending you a hug and encouragement.

And I agree totally with your answer. When you're young and hot you can bounce back quick and carry on. I'm about to enter my 40's alone. The idea of getting back out into the dating world frankly makes me want to barf. Like I'd have preferred to have been done with this shit already. Lol

Most of our hanky-panky occurs when the house is quiet at night. No hot lustful tearing-off-the-clothes when he walks through the door after work sex. Oh I'd be so on top of that shit.

Sex is sex. I've gotten better at morning sex (might just have done it this morning) and a lunch quickie (did that yesterday). I used to be much more uptight and only gave in to sex when all the planets aligned, however these days I've learnt to embrace to sticky, sweaty mess and enjoy any excuse for another shower throughout the day.

As for break-ups - I've definitely gotten better at it as I have gotten older. I think, if we are fortunate in this life, we get to love many people - perhaps we chose to be able to love many people.
