Has anyone put together a thesaurus specific to erotica. How many ways can you say pussy or cock? I'm finding it is hard, (no pun intended). It would be useful.
Excellent, thanks. Could use more visibility for authors.Someone has done something like this at Literotica:

With a bit of quick searching you can find many resources online for synonyms of common erotic terms. Here's one:

To me, simplicity works best when it comes to writing sex.
I stick with the basics; cock, dick, penis, erection.
That's all you really need, as funny as that sounds.

SisterJezebel wrote in one of her stories recently about a ‘cloven cleft,’ which I thought was a nice alternative to the usual ‘pussy’ or ‘camel toe’ that we see so often in erotic stories. While I was researching the term ‘cloven cleft,’ I was reminded there are hundreds of terms for various parts of the anatomy and sexual acts, terms that occasionally seem to fit the characters, story, mood, dialog or situation far better than the more common terms might.
I'm all in favor of creative approaches to word choices, but "cloven cleft" suffers from being redundant. "
The term she used was “cloven inlet.” The comments above about the redundancy of “cloven cleft” are absolutely correct. Maybe I need more sleep.
