[By the way what is the airspeed of an unladen sparrow?]

The correct answer would be...'African, or Continental?'

Sorry, you have to be a fan of 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' to get this bizarre reference...

And it depends if its carrying a coconut or not....LOL

Whats the question we're answering now?

I believe it's "From what language to we derive our english word 'masturbate'"?
Latin, also called "onanism". Literally means to withdraw from coitus before ejaculation. Attributed to Onan - Judahs son. Haven't read it but it's mentioned in the Bible somewhere in Genesis.
Now that is really handy info to have!!
Hi John:kiss:

Should I say "Beats Me"?

"From what language to we derive our english word 'masturbate'"?

The only thing I found for the "root" word is this:

Mid-19th century. From the past participle of masturbari , of uncertain origin: perhaps from manu stuprare to defile with the hand.

Name all of the Marx Brothers

oops! forgot to ask a question

Of the five (known) senses, what is the last one to go as we age?

Looks like we had another occurence of people posting at close to the same time. Well the answer to the Marx brother question is:

Chico
Harpo
Groucho
Gummo
Zeppo

I haven't found a difinitive answer on the other question yet, but I'm thinking it's between taste and smell. But since I don't have another question off the top of my head, I think I'll leave that as the current question waiting for an answer and let whoever comes up with an answer post the next question.

Hi back Image :)

Smell is the last sense to go as we age.

The question I really want to ask is "Which female Literotica member holds the record for the most orgasms in a 1 hour period (and how many)? But since that's a little hard to verify I'll go with a sports trivia question. However, any women who would like to PM me with their best... :) )

What is the NFL record for the most rushing yards in a single game?

Oh, we are all just rushing to answer that question!!! The orgasm question, of course... Personally I go for quality not quantity!
But, my other other guess is Tony Dorsett.
John, I thought the answer was taste, but then again smell and taste are intricately combined.

Well, I just took that answer from the first web site I found that gave an answer to the question. I suspect that different people would give you different answers between the two.

It is not Tony Dorsett. It used to be OJ Simpson, but his record has fallen to someone else as well.

My orgasm question might actually make a good question for a new thread. Maybe I'll try it.

My guess on the holder of the record for rushing yards would be Eric Dickerson, but I'm sure that's wrong. Plus was your question 'what is the record' or 'who holds the record?'

The actual question was what is the record. If you give the who, you get bonus points.

Okay Lets Get This Game back on track.

Ignore all questions except for this one.

How Tall Is The Eiffel Tower?

Reminder, check to see someone didn't answer the question before you. If so go back and edit yours. And only answer the post directly before yours. ( i know this maybe impossible all the time) Keep Questions relatively simple.

Who were the Grateful Dead before they were The Grateful Dead?

Since everyone else must be too young to remember this...the answer is The Warlocks.

How Tall Is The Eiffel Tower?

OK, here's a sports trivia question that is NOT U.S.-centric...so much!

What was the name of the sumo wrestling champion Akebono when was still a U.S. citizen and before he became a Japanese citizen? Hint--he was born in Hawaii.

Bonus points if you don't have to search the Web for the answer!

Tommie Connor wrote the English words to the German song Lili Marlene. He also wrote the words and music for a holiday novelty song that sold over a million records. The first recorded version of the song was sung by a thirteen-year-old boy.
What is the song? And who was the 13 yr old boy?

Since we're on music, before they became "The Band", what were they called?
