Lit taught me...

LTM that I must not be interesting enough to hold people's attention.

LTM: boobs can stop wars and topple empires and upset the natural order of things. So then you have to sit through god awful friendship picnics and shit 😂
Fortunately I had Aristophanes teach me this previously with Lysistrata.

LTM, that I should have found this place a decade ago because my people are here.

LTM that sometimes we don't know what we get ourselves into.

My first time coming onto Lit was many years ago due to a real life situation. This initial jump on here has led me on many paths, some really good friends, a ton of heartbreak and lessons learned and the chance to spend time with like minded individuals. I believe the song by Rascal Flatts says it best when talking about the Broken Road that leads us to where things are.

I am feeling Fortune Cookie like today, but I'm old so I'll go with it. :D

Just how much people are more worried about their "public persona", than they are about being real.

I get PMs every day, thanking me for being real and how they wish they could be like me, but are scared of being ostracized here in The Playground.

That people think it’s ok to simply ignore you after DMing and asking to chat ! So annoying !

Lit taught me... 🤔

That people will be people. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just because this is an online format of social interaction, I will still not have time or patience to talk with everyone. Just like when I am off screen.
Nor does this format imply that I am constantly available.

Lit taught me, that people will always carry the same set of beliefs and values with them, no matter what kind of social gathering they are a part of.

That is all cool with me!
- we are not meant to be friends with everyone, friendships are valuable and special. When they do form, it is amazing, when not.. it is okay!

I live in a glass condominium 🏙️ with a view for miles and miles and miles 🎸😈🏴‍☠️

with elevators , and a doorman

LTM that people can learn and grow and move past things and only look back to laugh at past mistakes because the present is so much better than the past. Of course a lot of that has to do with the people who stick to you like glue... and you love it. 😍

That there is no way for others to tell if your post was a joke post about porn vids or a serious post about short documentary films about incest.
