Lit Ladies: Does Size Matter?

...First off, the overwhelming majority of people of both sexes were "denied power" throughout history if you're talking about political or governmental power. Yet, there were queens in some societies with TOTAL power at many times in history. Even today, the vast majority of people of both sexes have no real political power (a vote? seriously? One of 150 million people? I don't want to sound cynical, but honestly one vote is like a grain of sand on a 100 mile beach, it means nothing really)...

As usual, you make a very good point, renard. In fact, democracy gives people the illusion they have some sort of power without really having any power at all. Often the most vociferously political loudmouths are the most powerless of all, and realize it on a subconcious level. Not that we haven't been guilty of it ourself sometimes.

You are wrong in the statement above.

Secondly, women have always have significant power in the home sphere and also within relationships, if for no other reason than the power to control sexual activity most of the time.

In fact, the whole "patriarchy" baloney is nothing but a Big Lie made up by ideologically motivated history distorters with feminist agendas.

could you please show me who exactly these queens were with total power?

Queen Elizabeth?.. technically true... but that's only because she didnt marry.. if she got married to anyone, she would have had to abdicate all control to her husband even if he was an incompetent ninny

Queen Isabella? once again, the power lay in her husbands hands, and none of her decisions were ever made without the consent of the King

as for women always having the power.. that's incredible bullshit too..it's only been to the last couple centuries that women werent considered property of thier husbands.. hekll, the Romans had laws designed that would allow the husband to kill thier wife and children for transgressions.. and get away with it with approval

and of course there's the little religon otherwise known as Islam.. or do you think women have the final say in Saudi Arabia?

just because you havent bothered ( once again ) of doing ANY actual research doesnt make your ignorant assumptions true

You believe the ideological lie of "patriarchy." I have made my points, and they are irrefutable. The femanist liar will always claim the opposite because without the Big Lie their whole ideology comes crashing down.

"Women" are not a group, there is no "they" in fact. If "women" were "historically oppressed" [which on the whole is NOT true, as I've clearly demonstrated] then everybody today is equally heirs to this oppression as we all have 50% ancestors who were female.

As for a couple of your points, try Cleopatra as one example, and the "husbands owning wives" is complete and total distortion. Its probably the biggest lie the feminists ever latched onto.

As for your bigoted comment against the Islamic faith, at least you've exposed your cultural and religious prejudice for everyone to see.

Dude.. bring forth a single fact to counter my claims

untill you do that ..all you're spouting is opinion

and opinions aren't facts... just so you know

you havent demonstrated anything about women not being historically oprressed.. you have cited NO history, you have cited NO actual occurences, you have cited NO actual facts

as for Cleopatra.. her little brother was pharoh.. she was in her mid 20's.. he was EIGHT and she answered to him.. it was only AFTER he was killed did she get the throone.. and only as a puppet for Rome.. that's basic fucking history

as for husbands owning wives.. thats completely true.. ever read any Ovid or Plutarch? get back to me when you have.. and I'll accept your apology

perhaps you've heard of the Mormons?

as for my bigoted comment.. oh please, give it a rest.. I defend Islam all the time on here.. no t because I agree with its misogynistic ideals.. but because its a religon and people have a right to chose it, even if its a studid choice

and please show me how I'm wrong about it too

I dare you
