This is not spam. I am a popular lit author and am posting as an alt because I don’t want my stories associated with a thread about jerking off.

Most guys - especially single guys and confirmed bachelors like myself - will have way more orgasms this way than doing the old in-out. Yet jerking off has yet to come fully out of the closet. Why? Here's how a sex toy reviewer called Lethe explained it in a review of a sophisticated Japanese masturbator on a sex toy sales and reviews site edenfantasys:

Historically speaking, men have had it kind of rough when it comes to masturbation. In fact, it could be argued that in this age of sex-positivity, we men are second-class masturbators. Female masturbation has classically been viewed as beautiful, idyllic, and Totally Hot. Male masturbation on the other hand is just kind of sad and funny. It’s desperate, grimy; and tastes a lot like the hot, stinging tears of isolation.

But really, much of this is our own fault. We’re kind of dorky about it – we spaz it out in the bathroom with all the inherent hotness of a brain surgeon with a nervous tic. And what’s more, we’ve just not been all that choosy about it. Because when men really want something, they build it. And if they can’t build it, they, through the collective Patriarchy, will throw gobs of money in every direction until someone finally does figure out how to build it.

I think he’s right. I have always experimented with different techniques, but only started getting more sophisticated about this five years ago, when I got a masturbation sleeve called a CyberSkin Vibrating Stick Stroker*. Google that to see what it looks like. What attracted me to this is that the opening is not molded in the image of a pussy, mouth or asshole, which I find embarrassingly puerile.

The feeling of this thing is absolutely fabulous. It comes with a vibrating bullet that you supposedly stick in the small end, but I can hardly notice the vibe, and quickly found that the bullet is a lot more fun tucked in under my balls.

Supposedly you should use a water-based lube, like astroglide. Those are nice for a fast stroke, but I found that after 15 minutes or so they stop working so good, even if you keep adding more. So now I use plain mineral oil from the drug store. It's a slower stroke and you can go for as long as you want - one hour, two hours, whatever. For some reason I can last a lot longer with this thing than just “straight” jerking, or jerking with a lube.

With the proper tools in place now, once a week I give myself a treat:

Step 1: My favorite fantasy is girl-girl sex. I rent-by-mail some DVDs from the handful of quality producers of this genre.*
Step 2: I get out my stroker, some mineral oil, some different kinds of bullets for ballsy fun, and a small anal plug.
Step 3: Insert dick (A) into cyberskin sleeve (B), and vibrating eggs (C) under and around balls (D). When I'm ready for some additional action oiled-up butt plug (E) goes gently into asshole (F).
Step 4. In-out, in-out, in-out, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

I'll keep this going for between 45 minutes to 2 hours.

I see another thread from some guy worried about being "addicted" to masturbation. I'm not addicted, I just like it. I like being a bachelor, and am of an age where I don't have the energy or burning desire to chase girls any more.

I am posting this info because the information it contains has been hard won by me over many years, and I want to share. Plus, I may be just a piker at this, while some guys are veritable Michelangelos of the solo sex fest. Hopefully some of these maestros will chime in with even better ideas.

*I've noticed some hand-wringing on the internet about cyberskin, and "phthalates" material. All I can say is that my little dickie has spent hundreds of hours encased in the stuff over the past five years, and it seems happy and healthy as ever.

Maintenance: My stroker is getting a bit ragged after 5 years, and all I do is gently wash it after each use in good liquid hand soap, get it semi-dry fucking it a few times with dry fingers, and stand it up in tall plastic cup on a shelf in the closet.

**For decades I rented VHS films from mainstream porn producers, and almost without exception the scenes were crap. In the last five years a new genre of quality girl-girl producers has come along. The companies are Girlfriends Films, Bellezza, Sweetheart Video, Triangle Productions or Abbey Winter. Their scenes are tasteful not raunchy, feature real sex and human interactions between real girls (vs. robotic decathlons), in scenes that range from 35 minutes to an hour. You can find reviews by lesbian porn aficionados at a site called LezLove Video. A rental service called Bushdvd has all the companies mentioned.

Incidentally, one of these firms has spun off a studio called Sweet Sinner to produce the same type of material in boy-girl. Proprietor Nica Noelle talked about it on an ABC Nightline feature last week about porn by and for women.

The thing about pthalates, you wouldn't even notice for years and years, if ever. The thing is, they're linked to cancer risk, especially associated with babies chewing on plastic teething rings and developing it much later in life. You don't just suddenly get cancer. It takes years and years to develop if it ever even does.

Just googled and found this: "Greenpeace Confirms: Topco Sales' CyberSkin Products Phthalate Free."

Also, I try to keep in perspective often nebulous speculations about potential cancer risks associated with so many products and substances.

You're supposed to use water-based lube because other types of lube break down Cyberskin (and similar materials). There are plenty of good water-based lubes that don't get gunky like Astroglide on the market now.

Also, the care of Cyberskin is very important. It'll break down over time regardless, but washing, drying, powdering it w/ cornstarch and storing it properly will increase its life.

You might want to keep those things in mind if you buy another Cyberskin toy.

Thanks Erica.

Here's my experience with this product, which I've been using for five years now: In addition to astroglide I've also tried some similar products, and also a silicone-based water soluble lube called Pjur (a type I learned of on this forum), which gives a slower stroke. None of these get "gunky" really, but all share that same characteristic of not providing the same level of lubrication after 15 minutes or so, even with liberal reapplications.

Mineral oil may break down cyberskin, but I've gotten five years from a toy that gets fairly heavy use so can hardly complain; my advice it to use whatever feels best.

(Out of curiousity I tried petroleum jelly one time, which was less nice than than the oil, and left a film even after washing that didn't go away until another use or two. Plus it's messy as heck.)

As for maintenance, I take the oily sleeve into the empty tub and wash it (and me) under the faucet in anti-bacteria hand soap right after use. I dry the outside with a towel, and the inside by "finger fucking" it several times with dry fingers; then just stand it up in a tall plastic cup and place it on the closet shelf. I dusted with cornstarch a few times when I first got it, but didn't see the point and quit.

Mine is starting to delaminate near the opening, so I've ordered a new one. In sex shops they're $45, but online can be had for $25-$30. So even if I had to replace it annually it would be no big deal (even at full retail price).

PS. The first oil I ever jerked with was olive oil many decades ago, as an adolescent. It's about identical to mineral oil in feel and effect, if you don't mind smelling like Italian cooking or salad - not the worst thing in the world. I suspect that it would work just fine with cyberskin, too.
