Lisa's in New York ... she flew into toronto and then went from there into new york i have a new understanding of what new york is like at the moment from her talking to me about it ... the mood the atmosphere and the amounts of smoke and dust in the air *hugs* for everyone thats in new york at moment


was really worried about her flying with everything that has happened and im worried about her being in new york at moment but shes going to keep in touch with me lots and shes said lots of nice things to reasure me ... as well as people here saying nice things about it ... thanks all


anyway i know this will be a pretty meaningless thread to most people here but the reason why i started posting here in first place was because lisa was away and this time i dont know when shes going to be back ... should be 2 weeks but could be longer so you can treat this as a warning that i'll probably be talking about lisa extra over next few weeks and im bringing back her bum av ... i liked the roses but i want an av of lisa now that shes away

You know your safer flying now than before the terrorists struck, the lax security that used to prevail in some places is gone and you know that they now check and double check everybody and everything and if you even look at them funny you know it's gonna be rubber gloved hand up the ass time.

I'm sorry to say this but now American air security is now almost as good as British, that might sound nasty but having read a lot of flight industry stuff since this all began the one thing they all seem to agree on is the fact that US internal flight security was a joke, well I don't think that applies anymore.

So don't worry about lisa she's probably safer now than before.

New York is probably one of the safest places on Earth to be at the moment, don't you think? No one is going to smuggle anything bad into that city at all, be it via plane, train, or automobile.

Relax. Be positive with her on the phone and in email, talk about what you'll do when she's home, and remember what's real between you.

No one here thinks it's so safe. But consider that I've lived here for many years and have yet to hear that anyone I've ever met was even injured in the events. i feel like abit of an idiot because i know im over reacting some and i know some people are having to deal with far worse things and everyone is being so nice to me ... i know soon though someone will just tell me to shut up and i probably deserve it sorry for dumping this all on you all here


you all have been so nice and have helped though ... one thing about her staying away from land marks the only trouble with that is i think shes going to be working in empire state building some of the time there but im going to take up on cyms advice and calm myself down stay relaxed and plan to do something really special for when shes home

2 of my best friends work at ground zero. In fact one of them worked in WTC 7 that is now a pile of rubble. They are both back to work and trying to be as normal as possible. Security is tight there right now I'm sure Lisa will be fine. Take a deep breath, think of how lovely she smells and what the sound of her voice does to you and relax. It'll be over soon.
