Liverpool probably makes him more money though. But yeah, that sucks.
I think that happens a lot for owners who own multiple clubs in different sports. The Glazers took all of United's money to fund the Buccaneers. So much so that when United tour in the USA, they dont let them play at Raymond James Stadium to see how good the Bucs have it.

I'm a Liverpool fan, so I've seen us have low transfer spend seasons that have worked out pretty well, and investment in Anfield has only improved our income and value. I've not idea how trading costs and wages works in baseball though. I think the different income streams in the PL and European football will be much more profitable. There are rumours of FSG investing in Toulouse from France and there's a lot of resistance to a multi club model.

I love your thread kit and you’re a gem but on this we can disagree, the larger markets get way more tv revenue to spend so without a salary cap like football and even basketball (although it’s a bit skewed bc you can go into the luxury tax w money to spend) it’ll never be a level field for small market teams.
The smaller market owner like the brewers owners probably spend more of their own money to try and be competitive then the big market owners.

the Dodgers earned an estimated $752 million in local TV revenue, while the Brewers earned about $35 million.
That makes it hard to compete without some sort of salary cap

Toronto is a huge city but in general they are a middle of the road team. But they spent money (5th highest payroll) and wow, in the final four.

But ok, if its only the biggest market, then explain the Royals who won about 10 years ago. If its only franchises with history thene xplain the Florida Marlins. Or how Tampa Bay made it a few times recently. How
The Cardinals have the history, but its a midwestern city with not a lot of media exposure as compared to NY/LA etc and yet have won it all recently.
Being in huge market helps, spending money helps but nothing is ever guaranteed.
People are just upset that the "rich got richer" with the Dodgers in terms of talent but they put it all back in the team instead of their own pockets.
Nobody likes a winner to keep winning. Theats why the most popular teams in each sport are also the most hated (Cowboys. The Chiefs now. The Patriots a few years ago. Duke. The Lakers. The Yankees. The Dodgers. Man U and Real Madrid...)

Qualifying was certainly interesting. Not sure if McLaren's pace difference between SQ3 and Q3 was due to the repairs made to both cars, or if the track changed that much in the 24 his between sessions. Would have been nice to see their sprint race pace though.

I'm not even sure you can blame Piastri for that. Maybe a slight lack of judgement to make that move in the first turn of the race, knowing how that corner can be for contact but there's no way anyone could have expected to get launched sideways the way he did.
