yes and no. So I was with Adobe. They basically have a continual rolling contract. So it never ends or if you suck it could end in a week or whatever right?
Anyway, I started there at the end of January/first week of february of this year. So not long ago
They had me on a big major project and then in May when it finished, i was assigned four smaller projects since they didnt have any big major ones coming in. The problem is that I could only bill for the hours worked and the hours worked were scoped for a specific amount of hours/budget for the duration of the project. So for example, one of my clients was Verizon and doing a specific task for them. But it was scoped/budgeted for only about 3-4 hours PER WEEK. So I could work say, 5-6 but that would take away hours designated for another week or two. Also I could not just bill whatever, i had to specificy I worked on the forecasting, or attended a discovery meeting or whatever.
Anyway, so those four projects didnt even add up to 40 hours a week. So I was super busy but also not billing for 40, which meant my pay suffered. Id keep asking if there were any other projects and since May there had not been. Finally fast forward to two weeks ago when I was told that all contractors in similar positions to me, (project managers and similar) were being replaced by their permanent full-time employee/badged employees who had the same roles/responsibilities as me, but were hired there full time. Many had been sitting idly "on the bench" not doing much while us contractors were stealing their work, but they as badged people, were still earning a salary. Hence, Adobe was like...wait, this doesnt make sense. So they replaced us when it was convenient and lucky/unlucky for me, my Verizon project ended last week, another of my projects was wrapping up next week, and two others (Victorias Secret was one that I have mentioned previously) were still ongoing so they assigned that one and the other longer term one (Accenture) to a badged employee. So I helped ramp her up to speed and then boom, today was my final day.
So it could have been long term if there were still projects coming in. But alas, it wasnt.

So what are your job skills, training?

I graduated a few years ago in economics. I planned on doing some marketing and started off in it at Intel.
I then went to PwC and become a project manager there. I know AEM reasonably well (Adobe Experience Manager) which is what A LOT of places use to make and run their website...like PwC. Intel. Microsoft. Victorias Secret. Whatever.
PwC was suppsoed to bea year contract and then go full-time employee/salaried. But my contract was cut short after 10 months or something, then extended a couple more months to finish a project up. And my manager's manager (the director) completely re-org'd the place...several ppl were let go or shuffled aorund and being the only contractor at the time, I was let go at the one year mark. My manager was super pissed and I am still very good friends with him.
I took a quick Amazon job that was god awful but paid super well. That was a quick contract (3 months).
I got hired at another palce that had me do work at Microsoft. Again, somewhat quick contract (6 months). That was ending just as I joined Lit, but they also were trying to slot me into another role at the same time. However, I didnt enjoy it much and during my time there I was negotiating with Adobe. That was back in OCtober and they finally brought me on in January...and here we are. I was hoping it would either go on for a year or two and then be offered a full time badged role, or at least be a few years of course. I got kudos from my first project (Toyota) and from Accenture (who is actually also headhunting me and had me apply to a couple jobs and my stakeholder is a reference so that may pan out in the future?), and Verizon and another liked me, and Victoria Secret hated me and hated the head technical consultant (they fucking suck, hated VS...total asshats...thats another story). So I am on the good kids/rehirable list, and it may happen, but I dont know if or when.
But yeah good with Jira, Asana, Wrike, Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workfront, AEM, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, MS Project, Agile and Waterfall...all kinds of stuff...no worries.

Other than saying good morning, I haven't really interacted much today, been busy with different things. Just wanted to say I wish you the best of luck to find a new job as quickly as possible. Even if it is a stop gap position until you find the one that is right and best for you.
I am awaiting my contract for my new job so I can submit my resignation at my current one. However, this is a bank holiday weekend in Ireland, so I don't expect the contract until at least Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
