If you or anyone else on here is actually and truthfully applying for the position, it would be news to me...several ppl have said rather casually that they want to meet, or want to fill a similar position (or apparently 'hole') but that has not happened.
(One person I did meet from here, but he and I both knew it was purely for a friendly drink. Another person on here really wanted to meet me but he had a couple major obstacles in his way of actually having a chance with me and he then did not want to talk with me anymore).

I was scrolling TikTok earlier and came across this K-pop drone show video! The movie isn’t my thing (I can’t stand musicals unless it’s like… the classics…. moulin rouge/oliver/hamilton/grease/cats/mamma Mia/les miserable etc) BUT I thought you would appreciate this!

I dont like most musicals either. But for example, msot Disney (and Pixar) animated movies are somewhat musicals too and Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, Brave, Frozen, Wreck It Ralph etc are all good movies.

I mean, I like them and think they have a good soundtrack but its not like my end all by any means...to clear the record...it was just a good, fun movie, with a good, fun soundtrack...and I made it into a fun lil contest here to get people out of their comfort zones!

well, kind of sort of did in a way. Had a phone itnerview last...Wed (?). Was told Id then get a second phone call later that day. Which got postponed to Thur, then friday, then to today and then got that email instead of it. After it didnt happen Friday I kind of thought it wasnt happening anymore...but when you have no other fucking leads going on, you cling to any hope.

yeah I understand not getting a job; theres always going to be someone with more experience, knows someone at the place or worked there before, is just better at skillset x or y...but everything I apply to I expect an interview. I am not applying for CEO of Nvidia/Google/Apple here. Or head of marketing, analytics whatever. I have applied to some jobs that are certainly a stretch, but also many that are beneath me, and 80-90% that are in my sweetspot.
Hopefully something comes through somewhat soon!

yeah I figured but you never know with the net, and potentially some ppl on here are looking for more than maybe I am offering or is realistic.

I will meet most anyone if they are in town (assume I have talked with them before)...but in terms of an actual romantic relationship, I mean...if they arent within an hour or so driving distance then well...prepare for some level of disappointment because I am not doing long distance!
But I am not saying NEVER to anything...

It’s all about jobs fitting you own criteria and what you feel comfortable with and hoping you will enjoy and have enough of a challenge to keep you happy and occupied mentally and also the chance of prospects. I never found that working for someone so I set up my own business and did things my way as my own boss, ok not everyone had that opportunity and at 25 yo ( at the time lol) I took my chance with some help from my parents and was successful with a hell of a lot of hard work. But at the end of the day just a lucky break to find something is all it takes, dig in and go forward with the lessons you hopefully learn along the way Kit.

yeah. As a project manager for primarily the tech infustry, that doesnt work so much...for me. Even if its appealing sounding. I could be a consultant type, but that also means I have to do marketing. and sales. and hr. etc...and cant do that, nor do I have a desire to do most of it.
But I hear you.
