i want to try top tier sushi..

vegetables need proper care in the kitchen. one of my favourite restaurants is Dirt Candy in NYC

lots of great sushi places, just go to places in LA/SF/Portland/Seattle or DC/NYC or Hawaii or Japan or somewhere...not like say....Omaha or Denver or SLC or KC or Detroit or Cleveland/Cincy...

One of the best Ive had was at 3 michelin star restaurant Singlethread Farm in Healdsburg, Calif.

I haven't read anything by him since Tell All. And I didn't think I finished that one.

Fight Club, Choke, Haunted, Survivor, Pygmy, Fugitives and Refugees; are the titles I remember reading.

The plots to the others I recall:

There's a game involving themed cars where participants are trying to find and crash into each other, the character of interest is riding around with one team and pays for gas with old coins. He time skips, or something weird like that, whenever he gets bitten by a black widow.

There's one where the cover was two faces, one young, one old, depending on if it was right side up, or upside down. That one, I think the main character was Evie. She was caught up with these two people that would go to open houses and raid medicine cabinets. I think Evie had been disfigured by something.

Third one, I think I read not long after Choke, was set on an island in the San Juans that was shared like a fish. Streets laid out like a fish skeleton. Had something to do with art?

And there was a weirder one where the main character is talking to various people as they all wait their turn to fuck a really well known porn star in her last shoot to break the gangbang record. The narrator is convinced he's her son (as are several participants). I think that might have been Snuff. Not sure.

Oddly enough, we have some great sushi places here in Sicily - and it’s the same in Malta.

I think it’s due to the fact that both are islands with abundant fresh fish all around.

You’ll often find some of Japan’s top sushi chefs coming to visit for that very reason.
