Lighting of Candles.

I ventured outside...... and lit a candle....at 7.... and said my prayers..... I lit a storm candle.... because its very windy here...... upset because I had to come back inside........ cuz its cold and begging to rain....

I wrote this.


Candle........

A single candle
glistens in the night....
A wish for many
who continue the fight

Two candles...
burn in the night
standing united
the courage to fight

Ten candles
shimmer and glow
The pouring of faith
prayers silently flow

One hundred candles
pierce through the night
Flags in the background
colors so bright

A Thousand candles
light up the dark
to ease the suffering
and making a mark

A million candles
lit all around the land
For one common cause
To say together we stand.

i'm going out at seven.. my time.. and hoping i won't be the only person on my block. (i'm pretty much the only person on my block who speaks English... i'm also the only one with a flag.) maybe someone around here will join me... *glances out her windows* but i doubt it.

I lite a candle under each of the 3 flags outside my house

not all my neighbors did but there are quite a few houses with candles burning. I'll leave them burning till they go out. My daughter asked why we were lighting them and I told her to remember all the people killed on Tuesday. She said but we don't know them. I don't think she realizes how close it was.
