Life in the Cone of Uncertainty

My daughter and husband live in Cape Coral. They just installed a new metal roof on their house, which they hope will get them through Ian. They live on the Florida Gulf Coast, and I live near the Texas Gulf Coast, so the damned storms usually get one of us. o_O

Don't underestimate this one. It is gonna be one of those maybe bad...maybe nothing...ones and those can really bite you in the ass. Don't risk it.

Too far south. They will be fine. I spend a lot of time in Cape Coral though. Nice town.

Solidarity, fellow Floridian.

I just spoke to a meteorologist and your area might get a decent amount of it.

Are we going to get the rumors ready. You know, just in case? Like a Literotica rumor will or something?

Do be safe. I do want to actually see all of you around again.

And if you do go out and masturbate in the storm, please take pics. I need some good Florida man headline material.

ah yes, time to start prepping the hurricane playlist and planning the party. The day before I do actually charge a gazillion laptops and tablets. I have movies saved on all of them, I don't want to take the risk of a bored child. Hurricane, not so concerned, days without power and no way to entertain the kid, now that is an issue of concern. Oh we also need to come up with Hurricane Ian puns. Hum, that is not as easy some of the names.

If it slows down and hits at a high tide...Tampa could be a New Orleans. This needs to head west...even 50 miles would make a hell of a difference. I have been through several and this one feels off.

Dude, I am less than 4 miles from Port of Tampa. 10 miles will make all the difference. Going to likely go stay with family a few miles inland as I am in mandatory evacuation zone. 10 feet of storm surge will fuck up most of St Pete and those of us in Tampa near river might be kinda fucked.
