I agree about A Night at the Opera. It’s great but there’s one song I can’t remember the title of that’s kind of droning and goes on way too long that kinda pulls me out of it.

The Prophets Song. Only Queen song I hate. Ruins the whole album almost. That and I can't listen to BoRo with the appreciation it deserves anymore.

One of my favorite bands for sure. I have to admit that they are well before my time but I’ve gone back and listened to everything many times. Musically I think I was born in the wrong era lol.
Not sure how big of a fan you are but there is a book called Queen: All the Songs. Came out after the movie I think. Talks about every track and every album, even B sides. Formation of the band, song writing, recording, everything. Probably an on-line version too. Ok, have a good one!

I once went into a local bar in a town in Lincolnshire and rather unusual they had a band on. I was thinking …this is a bit special, who on earth is this good?
Tony McPhee’s Blues Band apparently, but the still covered a good few of his Groundhogs numbers including Cherry Red.
More recently I was in a small bar in Brighton and very alternative young lady was DJing using and old record player and vinyl collection and yup …Cherry Red. Heaven!

One of the most perfect debut albums of all time. He was backed by Huey Lewis's band Clovers so The Attractions would come into being for his first tour and his second album.
This is the tune I heard on the radio that made me buy the album:

Not a "perfect album" by any means, but one that I've turned the lights out and enjoyed a drink to a few times is Metallica's S&M.

Yeah, it's easy to call a greatest hits album 'perfect,' but having been a fan for years, CPD albums tended to be a mishmash of genres and styles, like Ska, Punk, and some Big Band Swing, but what stood out (IMO) was their big band stuff. So this album is not only welcome, but includes great new tunes, like Zoot Soot Riot and No Mercy for Swine.

Dios. Back in early 2000s saw these dudes twice in one day. Record store and then at venue. Knew little about them at time. They dressed like they just got out of bed. Maybe some of the cheapest most beat up instruments. They absolutely ripped. Honestly one of best bands I have ever seen. From their self titled debut before Ronnie James Dio sued them and they named changed.

Been awhile but going to talk about one of my favorite artists, Eric Bachman. I could probably share Archers Of Loaf or Crooked Fingers album but instead going to share his S/T solo album. Hits all the spots for me. Great songwriting and love varied instrumentation whether it be guitar, banjo, piano, or distorted violins from song to song. I think his wife even sings on a song or two. Actually saw him at a house concert awhile back and he autographed this album for me. I think we took a few photos together and had some beers and laughs. Anyways enjoy. Hard to pick one song but here Separation Fright.
