LGBTQIA+ Daily Vibe II

Wow - hate filled church... I stumbled across a blog post from a Presbyterian pastor, who was cheerleading his congregation to hate LGBT, saying it was un-christian and against the teachings of Jesus ( without of course providing evidence, only his prejudice ). I remember reading something about false prophets in the Bible and this guy was selling a version of God all his own invention.
If you'd like to read it I'll PM a link but I see no point in promoting his hatred. Happy Jesus :nana:👏

Right now I am filled with total joy and happiness.....sitting out on a sidewalk in Portland Oregon and overhearing the interaction of a dad and his little daughter.
It's hard to describe how positive it was and full of fun and laughs.
I wish all girls had a dad like this guy!

I’m in Portland today too. 🥰

So all you guys in Portland... :) I've been to Portland in the UK, where it has a couple of prisons, a Navy base and loads of rock-climbing. It is almost an island, linked to the mainland by Chesil Beach and was run for a time by a blood-thirsty family clan, rumoured to be cannibals.
So there! 😄

Sounds like something from 28 Years Later or The Last of Us.

I'm already in my car 🤣

Were they fine and young…
Out of curiosity I google mapped it, it is a rocky looking spit.
Does the Jailhouse Diner offer fried toe chips with your ankle cutlets…it’s too early in the morning here, that’s all I’ve got.
Looks like a neat place.

The 'Bill' of Portland has cliffs both sides and was the first place in the UK to have bolted routes ( protection drilled/glued into the rock ) It's popular because you can swap sides East/West depending on where the sun is or wind is blowing. There's always an eatery close by and we go to one at the end of the beach... The Blue Fish cafe for a fry up breakfast :p
Oh, I forgot to say, there have been reports of local kids stealing people's gear at the top of climbs, so you think you're clipped in but some little fucker has nicked it. It is a rough area to be fair.

It also has a dangerous shoal/reef that extends about two miles south into the English Channel. There's very fast tides four times a day do boats have to keep four miles off or risk a passage just 200m off the coast at slack tide.

You used to be able to rough camp in an old quarry net to burnt out cars, but they've stopped that now. Just as well because... no toilets Eeew.

🫤 Climbing with an added element of risk!
I'm too klutzy for sports like that!

I think I’ll stick to my dream of a 40’ narrowboat on the Lankie… I’m too old to rough anything…

and then there was the Texas pastor advocating to kill LGBTQ+ folks.

I went shopping in a district of Portland, Oregon today - lots of new and vintage boutiques, a good bit of kink and goth…

All identities welcome everywhere with colorful signs boldly saying so. You’re welcome to try on anything you’d like regardless of your gender presentation.

It’s like we’re all accepted as ourselves or something. 🧐 😱

Over in Boise Idaho now.... haven't been here long and have already gotten weird stares.
Still trying to figure the vibe out around this town, it will help when I connect with my trans friend tomorrow.
Meantime I'm laying low at a place reputedly a queer bar. Doesn't feel very queer tho

There's a thread in LGBTQIA asking how you got into anal.
I really want to say 'thread worms' but I don't think they'd like my sass!

Anyhoo
It's filthy muggy hot here and there ought to be a thunderstorm. We had a guest over the weekend and I've hung out the linen after washing but I'm not sure it'll dry. Hey - wow, I'm on a sex thread talking about washing linen. Does this mean I'm becoming old?
I read that a transgender woman got banned from a chess tournament... I presume she was able to lift those chess pieces much more easily than the feeble cis women. Same same but worse... Fuck em

Wearing: clothes that I wore at work because why make my fun clothes mucky?
Listening to: neighbour's yappy dogs, traffic white noise
Mood: I getting through each day - so that's a win, right?
Love to all :rose:

☺️
At least your sass rhymes with ass...

95°F/35°C here. Dry and no rain in sight. One good thing about no garden, at least. 80/27 inside. Think I might take a walk, so when I come back it'll feel cool in here...

Wow! Keep yourself safe. Not a safe place.
It is serious HOT here! This northern girl is melting in the high desert climate Boise is.....
So I was kinda worried and anxious being over here with the reputation Idaho has for intolerance.
Turns out Boise is a relatively safe haven in a deeply fascist state! My trans friend lives openly and dresses as she pleases with little to no hate 😊
She has taken me to lots of welcoming businesses/ cafes/ spaces.
Best of all has been the chance to re-connect in real time with her, she kinda grew up with me in Alaska and we spent lots of time together 👭
Tomorrow I'm going west again.
Soon to see what's next ⚡🌹

Mood: this heat exhausts me....
Wearing: nothing, as I try to cool down
Listening to: apt #5, The Julie Ruin

Here in cool northern Maine, it was 95° yesterday. Possibly worse today.

I'm so glad to hear that!

Heading home from Portland today. It’s been a great visit and I’ll miss the such openly queer community. Luckily where I live isn’t far behind, still I’m going to miss how queer is just so normal here.

How hard can it be?

On my way back to Portland, it'll take a day or two to get there but already anxious to be there!
Safe travels to you Alex!
