LFS: Sci-Fi/futuristic/Simulation?

Hi folks. This story starts out with a guy waking up on a beach (maybe). No memory of how he got there. There are a bunch of people around him. People are being attacked and killed/eaten by flying monsters that are kind of like pterodactyls? I do recall that later in the story the hero is able to ride one of these pterodactyl-like animals. Turns out this "world" is actually like a computer generated virtual reality where the computer AI is looking for people that can best survive in this type of scenario (or something like that). Can't for the life of me get any promising results using both Google and Literotica/tags pages. Thanks!
