Some friends and I will be in town for the Rolex Three Day Event in April. We want to eat in an actual restaurant one night while we're there, and we need suggestions.

I haven't been there since I was competing in events more than 15 years ago, so I'm a little clueless about what's around the Horse Park.

Help?

around the horse park, nothin, its pretty much outside town, the closest part of town theres a cracker barrel and a waffel house and a few other things, not much, the horse park is on the north end of lex, u need to go downtown or the south end of town

be careful on nicholasville rd, its HELL and if anyone gives u directions to go to the end of new cirlce rd and take a left, they are fucking with u (remember the name of the road, new CIRCLE road). as for restarants, dunno im only in town to work, and dont eat much there outside fast food places. theres this one small italian place, on south upper street, called joe balogna's its no smoking, but great food, just a few blocks from downtown but all the franchise places are on nicholasville rd, man o war, tates creek, or richmond roads.

Nicholasville Rd. has alot of good restaurants like Olive Garden and the usual steak houses, but it is a pain in the butt! Alot of aggresive drivers and people in Lexington run redlights like crazy. Good luck.

ppl run red lights everywhere, its just nicholasville rd is FUCKED, at one point its like 11 lanes wide, maybe 12, and them reversing lanes from new cirlce up to uk, just stay off it i say, at least during rush hour

What is the Rolex?

Rolex sponsers Regattas all over the world to promote their chronometers such as the Seamaster. Still I hadn't heard of one in Lexington.

Yeah, it's like a Regatta... only it's horses, not boats. :p

Rolex Event

Shocking, isn't it?

I'm not competing though, just goin out to party with the olympic hopefuls. My horse is about 4 years away from that level of competition.

So in 4 years we can expect to see your horse on a Wheaties box?

You still need to beat her in some shape

Nah, she's doing great. Her first official hunt is tomorrow.

KS... Secretariat was an amazing animal. I'm hopefully breeding my mare to a grandson of his this spring.

However, Rolex will be more like this...
