Come on folks, Laurel and Manu and Etoile gave us this nice space, and we are not making it live up to it's potential!

Let's talk. What new in your world?

I'm sorry I haven't been around much, between flirting madly, having another life away from the comp, and working on my book.......I've been remiss.

Sorry. I was busy getting married. :D

Well, you're here now, so dish!

How went the wedding?
Were you the most beautiful bride ever?

The ceremony was wonderful. We got married outdoors by a pond on my parents property. A good friend of mine performed the ceremony. I certainly felt like the most beautiful bride ever! ;)

That sounds wonderful, Pookie.

:)

Hmm, lately, I've been a little self absorbed with my girl. That and the fact that I have a 7 year old now. God, she turned 7 today and is into all this girlie stuff. I never saw a kid get so excited over make up in my life!

:)

I don't doubt that you were!

Getting over a girl and the computer isn't the best thing for me to be using too much. :rose:

I have tried too......

but if this is a reflection on the country we are all fucked

Well, I have been away for a bit, but it seems all the interesting Gay topics have been over at the GB rather than where they should be, which is here.
Yes, I'd like to see more on all male gay issues. There's just been too much bicuriosity, crossdressing, and trans threads, it's become a bit overwhelming for me.
I'm almost afraid to post something actually Gay at times, that it has stopped me. I know this is the GLBT, but I think it's time to do rather than complain. I admit I'm guilty of it too.

Meanwhile, I have a new man in my life and that's taken up lots of my time. Getting back to composing music and reading, and want to spend more time here at GLBT again.

Q. What new in your world? You've sort of become a mystery man it seems.

(By the way, thanks Gypsywitch for your great presence here ;) )

I think I'm rather confused about what the purpose of this particular board *is*. Most chatty-flirty (splashy-splashy, swimmy-swimmy) stuff seems to belong elsewhere, on the General or Personals boards.

I come here for the snippets of news provided (mostly by Etoile, though others have a hand) and to glance cursorily over the titles of threads to get a feel for what folks are interested in at the moment.

I don't like being confused. I'm not a gay male, though -- so maybe I just don't get it. (Wouldn't be the first time!)

That being said, congratulations on your new relationship, Raimondin, and on the other things which have kept you busy. I've been about for a while now (hither and yon and under various guises) -- and I know what a valued member of this community you are.

Thanks QG. I get rather confused myself here at times. I suppose the good thing is that GLBT is a much broader spanse than I could have ever imagined. It's just that the other parts of the gay world have suddenly come out of the closet, so to speak. That's a good thing, of course. I had to change my perspective on it all. Whether you're a gay male or not, there's room for everyone. There's lots of things I don't get either, but that's when I learn something new.

Hope to see more of you around here too... :)

Alright... I've Got No Excuse...

I've been away from here for so long, but glad to be back. Mostly I just let life get in the way. Probably heard that one too many times. Oh well. Even so, I'm back for now.

I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you in your personal life. And I understand your concern about the shape of this board. It's always going to be a balancing act here, sometimes our differences can be much more apparent than our commonalities.

As for me, I've just returned from a long vacation in Europe. If anyone wants to discuss the gay nightlife in Budapest, let me know!

Work, getting ready for my final year of college and trying to find a woman to hang out with. Nothing new.
