Let's talk about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis

Yeah, well, I don't give DeSantis much room in national politics. It's fine with me if he winds up as the Republican candidate for president in 2024.

I would NOT be fine with that.

We as a society need to push back and never allow those kind of values to be pushed to the forefront of national politics- even if such a candidate does end up losing by a significant margin. In other words, push the hateful extremists back to the fringes of society where they belong. I think it has gone way too far as it is.

It's the same reason I support banning certain troll posters on here- in all of their ever-changing screen name incarnations- because "Free Speech" does not mean we should be obligated to give hate mongers (like DeSantis and his supporters) a platform to spread their toxic and anti-social views.

I can't stand Ron DeSantis. I fully expect Donald Trump to beat him in the Republican primaries, and it won't be pretty.

Tiger Woods and Serena Williams are very, very rich. Not exactly representative of black Americans as a whole.

The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Board of Directors will now be officially appointed by the state.

On Wednesday of last week, House Bill 225 passed both the House and Senate and was signed into law at a press conference at Cambridge Christian Academy by Executive Director Craig Damon according to a press release by the FHSAA. In the bill includes giving the governor control over the FHSAA Board of Directors as well as the authority to appoint its members.

This may be the same guy who used to post as "Matthew Craig" a couple years back- and was (justifiably) ban hammered- For posting this exact kind of hate speech crap.

In other words, hopefully he will soon "loves Spam" much like has last couple incarnations (he has had at least one or two short-lived screen names since Matthew Craig loved spam.)

The NAACP has slowly, but inexorably worked itself into irrelevancy especially as this nation continues on the path towards being a racially blended culture/society. The NAACP is a divisive holdover of the past that really needs to develop a new mission statement or simply dissolve.

Maybe Tim Scott can get them sorted out, but I doubt it. They've devolved into a group of mindless haters just like a lot of our fellows whom have already weighed in on this thread.
