Actually, I have 18 plus a warhammer. If you include the daggers, coustille, kukri, qama, and shinai. Make that 19 if I include my fencing foil.

And my collection's growing bit by bit, usually one piece a year, sometimes two or three if the prices are good. But I think it's going back down to one a year as I focus more on quality these days.

At the moment, they're all in one room, save one of the two my wife owns (gifts, she doesn't really collect), which is in the living room. That said, I've had some formal and informal training and would trust at least half of the blades in an actual defensive situation (4 I wouldn't because they have stainless steel blades, 3 because I'm a little iffy about their hilts, but the rest are all high carbon steel guaranteed "battle worthy").
