Let's hear your Voice! Part 2

So interesting! I’d heard this in an ethics class (South Africans calling their traffic lights ‘robots’). The point was brought up as the etymology of the word used is to describe how the ‘robotic’ lights replaced human traffic cops. I didn’t know it’s true (and I suppose that when I was younger, embarrassingly enough, I didn’t care to know), as many scenarios in ethics are hypothetical.
Thanks so much for bringing this up — I’m so glad you did! What a fantastic tidbit of information!
Also, you’re very sweet.
And as it stands, I could listen to you all day. Especially when you speak German (which sounds like a mutually beneficial arrangement). I look forward to your next post 😊:rose:

Welcome!

I can't add a signature or profile picture for some reason

Your voice is lovely — very dreamy! I wish you all the success in the world, and if you get your podcast going please post a link somewhere on Lit. I’d absolutely be interested in listening to you!

Ps. I hope the rest of you correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe you can’t alter your picture until you reach 100+ posts.

That's a lovely piece of music. I don't know much about playing, but that seems so subtle and pure that it is probably pretty unforgiving to play

Yes it's a beautiful piece. Though I chose that video more for the ballet, because I think Letizia Giuliani is fantastic here.

The intermezzo is called "Méditation" aka of Thais, from the heroine of the opera Thais by Jules Massenet. It's very famous and played zillions of times everywhere.

I'm actually a ballet fan (subscriber here in Boston). It was very beautiful as well (as is the ballerina, it's amazing how much her hair adds to the expressiveness).

Yeah...and I love the nude bodysuit. I can't believe FB censored that video when I posted it because it had her on the thumbnail. *Shakes head* Morons!

I don't take any of this seriously. Don't worry. ;)
I wasn't ref. to addressing in third person. Only the tone. Thanks for the reply. :rose:

When you described it, it made me conscious that I was doing it, not entirely consciously. If Elmo stops by he will get a laugh at the Wade Boggs reference.

Well, 11 pm and other people in the house. Makes sense.

Elmo & Wade Boggs is a ref. which totally flew over my head.:D
