I don't really like this part if I'm honest. While I get the appeal, certainly, it's not really what I've got in my head for the daughter's personality - the little parts I do have figured out.

Avoidance of a clichéd look can be difficult but the trap not to fall into is the one of going to the opposite extreme: dreaming up something which is intentionally so bizarre that nobody can possibly have put it up before. That way risks losing you readers wholesale as they roll their eyes and switch off.

If you can genuinely read through your OP and say to yourself honestly that it doesn't come close to defying belief, then fine - but that would only go to show what a rich and motley crew the human species is.

I mean, is it highly unlikely? Yes. Is it impossible? No.

Intersex people exist. People who find intersex people alluring exist. And I'd also argue that (in my experience) any incest story, really, comes close to defying belief.

But I am admittedly thinking of other avenues to make a story like this work if this idea itself can't really.
