OOC: I know, I know! It took forever to get this up, but serious things have been happening in my life (such as my grandfathers.... both are in the hospital, one in a welding accident, the other with a heart attack.) My stepfather is in a treatment center cause of bipolar disorder, and my family is getting bad finaically. But other than that, here is the story. Since we yet to have someone play the evil congressman, I'll do the starting reply with him, then after the rest of you reply, I'll do the rest with Link. Now here it is... the trend!!!

IC: Deep within the halls of the Hyrule Democratic Building, which is erected on the grounds of the former Hyrule Kingdom, a sinister figure works diligently on a plan that will affect the entire world. He is seated in his office, off limits to everyone save himself.... and for good reason. The numerous archaic symbols and demonic energies that waft through the very air of the room would make anyone suspicious.

Hunched over his desk, studying an old book, he smiles. "Soon, my Dark Lord, you shall once again be resurrected from your prison in the Dark World to reign over the one of the Light!" But a memory of something comes to mind that turns his glowering grin into a sneer as icy as the tundra to the far south. "But that damn Zelda.... daughter of the President no less.... has magic.... weak I'll grant it, but never the less, I knew she would be trouble. I'm not sure, but I think she know of our plans.... but no matter. Using the black powers that you have graciously bestowed on me, I have had her locked deep within Hyrule Maximum Security Prison, under the guise that her life was in danger... in case that the public should question why I have done this. People's minds are so easy to manipulate... especailly the President's."

Yet he pondered something "I do not know the true extent of her abilities.... and there is the possibility that he may appear as well," refering to the one thorn in his master side..... the Hero of Time. "Hmmm....." his smile returned again "Guess I'll have to unleash the monsters from your world.... just to cause havoc so that I may have ample time to prepare for you arrival, my lord," he said, looking at a black, pulsating crystal ball.

With that, he turned around and went into the back room, where a large pentagram was etched into the ground, to allow him to call forth the terrors.

OOC: How was that? OK.... your turn men and women!

OOC: I'm happy with the story. It seems worth the weight so far. Sorry about all your troubles.

IC: In the desert: Endless sands stretch as fa as my eyes can reach. There is a soft sound of the crunch the sand grains make rearangeing themselves under my feet. I feel a slight burn of the winds hiting me with a berage of tiny bulders.

I must look quite odd walking threw the desert a sand storm going on. Wearing a tight pair of blue jeans. I also wore a short sleved shirt that didn't even protect my belly from the sands. Draped around my shoulders and wraped around my face, I had a cloth. One lock of red hair falls just below the cloth covering my head. I had no real face like this. The only thing a watcher can see are my light blue eyes. It would apear I'm traveling with no gear but that is because the cloth that covers my head face and shoulders also covers my light back pack. The baish fabric trailing off over it and blowing in the wind.

Yes I must be an odd sights. Why am I crossing the desert? At time like this shouldn't I be in a bus or car driveing down the interstate? But yet I'm drifting here. Alone in the sands. Just me and Lee. How ever Lee was in my pack. Unable to cope with the winds she has to ride in there for now. Lee has been my freind for so long. I can rember when I found her and her kind.

...Two years ago...
'She couldn't of goten far.' I gaze out of the shadows at the two boys. Last time I play with those two. Well I did lose and technicly that dose mean I have to pay.... Yea like I'm going to pay. It was a stupid bet any how. And they cheated. I'm shure of it.

'There she is.' My atention brought back to the boys. I turn and ran into the desert. If they wanted there prize they would have to do more then cheat to get it.

...After what felt like hours...
"Shit don't they ever give up." I looked back over my shoulder One head was comeing over the sand dune, I could make it out amongst the stars. I looked forward once more and continued my jurney down the dune. There was something at the botom of the next dune. I couldn't make it out.

...Now...

That was the first step that led me hear.

After getting up froma good nights rest I decided to go out to my daily roll. Now this is something I do every day nad try to hit my top speed. I take off down the mountain towards the bomb shop and small village were my stand is.

Half way down I decide to have some fun and slowly creep my way up the side of the corridor that protects the raod from bad weather. As I am about to come down a person stops at the point were I was coming down and I have to change directions very quicly and end up fly off of the other side and fall down on top of my own shack and go through the roof.

"That was to close for comfort, but fun"

I get up and brush myself off. I look at the hole in the roof and decide that I will fix it later. I unlock the door and hang my open for business sign up.

OOC: I'll probably drift over to death montain unless something happens some were else.

IC: The ground was firmer now. The sands were starting to become clay and rocks litered the ground. I moved my head up towards the herivon. The sand dunes where gone what was there noiw was a baren waste land.

I smiled a silent smile to myself behind my veil like cloth. This smile would go un noticed I knew it. But still for the one person who knew this smile existed it was important. It told me that even though my jurney would be long and hard each step I took was important and each phase of my quest had a reward.

I saw a camp fire off by the concret road in the distance. I recanised who was there. The same two boys from long ago. They probably still want me to give them their pize. But I am not going to give it to them. I will continue on my trail and there existence will not be important, and evently forgoten.

Forgoten, how strange I think I can forget them after what they caused me to do. I know I will not forget what happened because of them and yet I can forget them. One memory is so strange in that way.

... Shortly after I ran into the desert ruin two years ago....

Are they going to find me in here? I peered over a cluster of sand in the ruin. No those bouys wont come in here. I's to dark and old. I tunr my back. Cob webs hang from the ceiling and old burnt torches hung on the walls. At one point in time they made this a bright place. How ever right now I don't think this was the place to hide.

'Hey do you think she's in there?' One of the boys said pointing to my cave like ruin. 'After what she promised I shure hope so.' The second boy replied. Okay I'm going to go in more. I stood up and ran further back into the ruin.

Sudenly the floor seemed to fall under my feet. When I looked down I relised I was right and I fell down into the darkness.

... now...

It's funny. Moments ago I said every moment in my quest was it's own reward and yet at that moment I would of given anything to avoid where I was. Life is funny sometimes.

Deep waves crested onto the cool sand. The ocean in it's perfection as it pounded away at the beach like two lovers caught up in the heat of passion. The water swelled back, the sand lay before it, awaiting, and then the wave fell over on itself, sending spray and wash everywhere.
An erotic sight. Surn deeply admired the ocean, it's feminine qualities, and masculine principles. It was something he understood, and something he respected. Not everything in this world was dependable, but the ocean never seemed to fail him.
Under the waves he could always find solitude.
Surn dove down.
Sliding into the water, which welcomed him with opened arms. He swam, working his webbed hands and feet with the water, as if grabbing for invisible holds within the swells. Above him, thunder sounded in his ears, and he couldn't help but smile. Below was nothing more than an enchanted kingdom where anything could happen.
Animals, that of which could never be seen on land, flew inside this place. The water was a dream to them, and they floated with the best of them. Fish swam by, all in schools, all avoiding danger and harkening towards food.
With a spear, Surn caught a few that would be delectable for a dinner. He loved it down here, and wished he could stay forever, maybe just sit and watch as life churned with the sea around him.
Ahhh, he always had his dreams though.
He broke the surface, breathing in deep the cool air.

"ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzZZZZ," went the young man in his bed, loud enough to wake the ReDeads. Clad only in a white Muscle T and a pair of boxer's with numerous Triforce designs on it, with the sunlight shining down on him, you'd never guess that he was already fifteen minutes late for school.

But his mother knew.... as she stood over him, a vien popped out on her forehead and a glare leveled on him that has been know to cause biker gangs to back down from it in fear. She was impatiently tapping her toe as she stared down at her only offspring. "Trying to wake this kid is like trying to tell the sun not to shine.... IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!" she yelled the last part, altough the boy did not stir..... not that any of her screams to him for the past hour could be heard. The young boy slept the same way wolfos hibernated. "Last chance mister.... 3....2....1..." she said, holding the only know cure for her son's narcalepsy.

*SPLASH!* "YOOOOOW!!! I'M UP I'M UP!" said the now wide awake, and very drenched young man. He immediately began to shiver, since the breeze of the open widow brushed against the ice water that now covered his entire body. "Geezus Mom, do you have to do that every morning?"

"It's the only way to wake your lazy ass up! Now scoot on into the shower, get dressed, and get to school! Your late as it is."

He knew best not to argue with her.... she could be as stubburn as mule when she wanted to be. After hoping into the shower (if you consider 3 seconds of hot water a shower) and put on his clothes. Clad in green camo pants, his favorite green shirt, his green hat (which his friends called the sock), and some hiking boots, he went flying out the door, stopping long enough to grab his backpack, and kiss his mother goodbye. "Cya Mom!" he said as he bolted through the door.

"Take care sweetie, and have a nice day!" she waved to him.

Later, as he sped down the street past the constrution site to his highschool, he heard a familar voice overhead "You really need to get to sleep at a decent hour Link."

"Looks how's talking.... aren't you supposed to be asleep now ya insomniac?!" he said, not slowing down.

"What can I say... I'm a day owl," came the usual reply. Link rolled his eyes at his friend Shippo.... who literally was an owl.

"Well I can't shot the breeze right now bud, just land in the usual tree at the eating area during lunch, ok?" he said to the small flying bird overhead. He wondered what kind of psychic ability it was called when you could communicate with animals.

He saw the looming building of his high school coming into view, and he smiled "Oh well.... at least I can get some decent sleep in first period.... nothing like Goverment to put one out like a light." He said to himself as he entered the building.

" Zelda?...Zelda!? Did you hear any word that I just said?!" Mr.Deku growled angrily. Mr. Deku was Zelda's private tutor and right now he was glaring angrily at the young woman who was blinking her eyes as if seeing him for the first time that day. "I'm dreadfully sorry Mr. D but I really have alot on my mind today." Her tutor glowered "That is no excuse Zelda. I'm not here to waist my time talking to a wall." Zelda frowned, she really hadn't meant to be rude but something evil was stirring. She was sure of it. Zelda loved history, she had read anything and everything about her ancestor also named Zelda who had saved the world from the evil king from the desert. She believed completely in all the legends. Now it seemed as if that same evil had returned. She didn't know how she knew only that soon there would be no where to hide.

KACKLE MARKS HIS TERRITORY...

Matthew Swhartz, age 11, clenched his hands in anger. Three days ago his parents died in a car accident. Today he stood in the graveyard, among his distant cousins and Great Uncle Bills on a bright and shiny day in Hyrule. The chirping of the birds were so loud, Matthew had trouble hearing the minister at times.
It shouldn't be like this though, it should be pouring buckets of rain. He was suffering, why couldn't the rest of Hyrule? His Uncle Mark's cough got Matthew's attention. It was then he realized the birds had stopped chirping, it was totally quiet except for the priest.

As the hairs on the back of his neck began to stand up, Matthew turned around thinking someone was behind him, but there wasn't. A second later the coffin began to fly into air as the cries of sorrow became cries of terror. Shadows began to form under the coffin, taking shape and eventually looking somewhat like a man. Matthew had heard stories from his friends growing up about the cemetary being haunted but he had written them off as tall tales.

As his relatives fled in terror, Matthew felt like he was sinking into the finely trimmed green grass below. It was then he realized the land around him seemed to grow straight up from the ground. He began to huff and puff as an anxiety attack hit him like a bucket of cold water, drenching his senses to the point where he felt dizzy. Before he passed out he remember a giant skull appearing in the grass, staring at him and kackling as he died of fright.

Cresent Flame

OOC: I don't knoiw aboiut the rest of you but I'm avoinding contact with Pmtick for as long as possible. I'm willing to admit cresent is a coward. How isn't when there confronted gby there worst fear. Maybe the triforce of curage would help. As always an atristic chara from an artistic monkey.

IC: I hadn't moved in several minutes. I was lost in the moment. I was apreceateing every thing around me. I wasn't that far from wear the next city started now. Maybe 10 or 12 miles. It sad really, the only thing that tells me man has reached here is the paved road. A stone monument of needless change to nature. Mans opion is theres no green bushes or trees, so there nothing to get in the way of construction.

They couldn't be further from the truth. Barren or not there is still beuty and life here. Those bushes will always be brown there leaves are to small and to few to with a glance. Further more the simpliceity of this area is beutiful in one of the most complex way. Even the desert which I just parted with is full of life and beuty.

The other thing that recks this veiw is the camp fire of those two boys. Whuy are they out here any ways. That can't still be expecting me to pay. 'Do you know them Cres?' "I lost a bet to them two years ago. Other than that no." Lee has been my costant compainon sice I met her.

...two years ago....

"Oh my head." My hand was rubing my head wich now had a bruise from the fall. "How long have I been out?" I opened my eyes and turned to look around. For the moment I didn't know if I had gone blind or if I was in total darkness. "I can't see a thing."

What was the last thing that hapened to you. Okay I ran from those two boys hid in a cave and fell. Okay so this must be where I fell to. I wonder how long I fell. And why is nothing sore on me? I must of fallen on something but what. I don't feel anything soft around here.

I stood up and for a minute I could of sworn my legs where going to fall under my own weight. "Whoa, head rush." I still don't know how. Eather fate or some other magic force lit tourchs in the room. "Thats odd." the tourches where free standing. Metal shafts with a single candle on top lit a trail to a flight of stepps heading down ward. I know all better jugment told me that, I shouldn't go there. I should head up. But that is not what I did.

Zelda stood on her balcony staring off into the distance. She closed her eyes a moment shutting out all other things. There, far away but it would be coming closer. It was Evil, pure and simple. Images flashed through her mind of skeletans, man eating plants, spider like creatures and above all she sensed a stronger evil. The leader, it had to be. A creature whose entire afterlife would be spent trying to destroy all she loved. She shook her head coming out of the somewhat trance. She could tell her father but being the science man he was he would ignore her completely telling her to stop making things up and live in the real world. But she had to get someone's help. She was struck with an idea then. The hero of time! of course! But how would she know where to find him? or who he was? Taking a wild shot in the dark she once again closed her eyes this time opening up to all things good, and she sent out a message.. "Heroe's heed my call. Your blessed land is threatened, your homes are threatened and all those you hold dear. If you have the courage, if you have the will please come to me. Evil has arisen and soon there will be no hope for us. Come to me and help me rid this land of the danger as my ancestor has, as your ancestors have. Gorons, Zora's, forest folk, and hyrulians. It's time to band together and reawaken the power of the triforce and rid this land of this evil once and for all!" She felt a sense of secrurity wash over her and knew her message would be heard. She prayed silently though that it would be heard in time.

Cresent Flame

OOC: I think Cresent is the hero of time, despite the claims the hero of time is a boy..... Or maybe not. Now the question for me is cresent considered good, bad or neutral? I'll go with neutral and thus she dosen't here the message.

IC: I began to walk by the fire of the two young boys. I do not know weather to be thankful or scornful to those two. It's a matter of prespective, and I will not have the correct prespective til this storys end. Only when I succed or fail will I truely know weather or not my mision was a gift or a curse.

I gaze into the fire as I move by. Many memorys can be awoken by such things. Fire has always been close to me. My family is said to be named Flame from our hair. Each decendent of the flame family has head our red hair, However I'm unique among my fammily. Most of us have brown eyes, I however gained my mothers eye color. My name, Cresent, she chose because when my father first met he said her eyes had the same color as the cresnt moon in the sky that night. I was respectfull to the flames as I pass them by.

... two years ago...

I gaze into the fire as I move by the torch. "This is so weird. These torches lit themselves." I walked down to the steps. "Well I guess I can't stay here." I slowly began to move down the steps with a cation only cowardice can produce.

These steps ended a few feet from wear I was. The candles however continued forward. They went on to the back of the room where they formed a half circle around something.

As I finished the stairs and began to walk down the hall every horor mvie I had ever seen came to mind. Skelitons, Mummys, and vampire roamed the the streets of my mind. I herd the screams of there victims echoing within my head. The sounds of there foot steps and the pitch of tortured sceams became greater with each passing step. Then they sudenly stoped. When my mind had caught up to my feet I was next to a chest. A stone box from anchient times.

I should of been cripled with fear but some how, I began to look for a way to open it. Many of the horor movie I had seen started this way, but still I was compeled. Why was I going to try opening it.

...Now...

"Lee are you okay." I gained no response from my farie. She looked as though she was paying very close atention to something. What I do not know, but some spector has her awareness for the moment.

OOC: On a quick note.... there will be no insults of any kind towards anyone who is in, or will join, this trend. And cats.... the Hero of Time has always been Link.... its a Nintendo tradition. But Link is nothing without the help of others, so everyone plays an important role.

IC: Link slept soundly during the lecture of the Great War in History. He was currently dreaming of Leesha, the hottest, most popular girl in school when all of a sudden.... his dreams changed to a room as black as a thousands midnights. That's when he heard it....

It's time to band together and reawaken the power of the triforce and rid this land of this evil once and for all!"

He heard the voice, soft and clear, like the coo of a dove in his mind. That's when he heard another sound.... laughter. But not the laughter of joy, but one of icey cruel menace. He turned around to see who it was.... and the blades of a wicked looking trident struck his belly.

He woke up screaming, clutching his stomach, not realizing that he was ok the he registered the giggle of his classmates and the stern, angry voice of Mister Whipple "LINK!!! DETENTION..... NOW BOY!!!!"

Link gathered his things and walked out of the room. But what he thought about wasn't his detention.... but of the beautiful and the horrifying image he dreamt about.

OOC: Next post will have more action... had to do this in a rush. Take care everyone!

OOC:

Did I already offend some one? If so I apalagise my sarcasritc nature always seems to get me in trouble.... well on this site any ways. In person people can noramally tell.

Also my coment about Cresent being the hero of time was also a joke. I was hopeing the "... or maybe not." would show it's a joke.

Now if I'm in trouble because I called tick a Monkey I did so because his pic is a monkey. As for calling him artistic he is. It's something I've always admired about tick. And so far in this thread I've tried to post artisc myself.

If it seems like I'm being paranoid, I am. I've goten in trouble for my sense of humor before and I'm trying to avoid haveing it happen again.

Oh one question. What system are we useing for the triforce. Up til this point I have assumed the SNES link to the past version. Where the triforce grants a wish when it's gathered. Is this the right guess or is it like the N64 version where it's housed in there bodys, Link, Zelda, and Ganon? Or do you have a knew set up in mind?

OOC: I wasn't offended in any way. Perhaps we should limit OOC discussions to the OOC thread, I think they're impeding the natural flow of the storyline.

IC:

TAKING A STEP FORWARD

The poe horde finished feasting on the bones of the funeral goes, using their bones to pick the flesh from the undead creatures' teeth. The smallest poe looked away from his meal to see his leader, Kackle sat quietly on his grave stone, staring at the city of Hyrule in the distance. Curious as to why his master didn't dine, the poe floated over to the decaying bard.

"Master, what are you thinking?" Kackle didn't say a word, he just kept staring at the horizon. "Master?" He then turned to the tiny spectre, as if he hadn't even known the ghost was their before. "You startle me little one. I'm looking at my past and our future." "What do you mean, Master?" "The people of Hyrule are the ones who have forced us here. The people of Hyrule are the ones that label us beasts when they are in fact murderers, all of them. The people of Hyrule are the ones who starve us, forcing us to feed on travelers." As Kackle countinued, his voice began to get louder, mimicing the passion he felt inside. He was so bombastic, the poe hid behind a gravestone, afraid or his Master's energy while the other poes started to gather around him.

"No longer will we be exiled to this wicked stone garden! I can feel an energy in the air that looms over the city. We shall join this ominous sensation and descend upon the streets of Hyrule, all in due time!!" One of the poes spoke, "Master, I'm intrigued, what is this mysterious energy you speak of?" Kackle began to laugh, flaing his arms in the air as he shouted the answer, "IT'S FEAR!"

It took Surn nearly an hour before he found someone else who had heard the message. At first, it blared inside of his head, like a siren had been stuck right outside his ear to make sure he heard every single syllable.
Afterward, when he asked a few of his friends, they knew nothing of the desperate message or what it entailed. The truth was, they knew nothing at all.
He ruched upon the streets, wondering if what he had heard were true at all. Had someone called him? An impossible notion within itself, but still the voice had been so powerful, so determined.
Finally, an elder Zora at the docks with a pipe in his mouth and a fishing pole in ihs hand nodded as he understood what Surn had explained to him.
"Ayuh," his squinty eyes were plunging into the sea, looking at his line as if any moment something would strike, "About an hour ago, if I'm not mistaken on the time."
"Yes," Surn felt relieved, he hadn't just jumped off the edge of reality and began hearing voices for no reason, "Who was it?"
"The princess, I'd gather. Seems like she'd be the only one to gather everyone. Even inside the prison."
Surn's face grew distorted as he heard that word. Prison? Locked up? Away from the ocean?
"She's in prison? What for, she commited no crime."
He studied his line before answering, "It's supposed to be for her protection, at least that's what the official word is. To tell you the truth, I think the same evil she warned us about did it, just so she couldn't stop it."
Fire raged in those sea green eyes of his, "We need to rescue her, help her. She called us for a reason, didn't she?"
"Ayuh," the elder zora switched the pipe from one side of his mouth to another, taking a big drag and letting it come out as he exhaled. Surn got a whiff of peppermint and apples.
"I'm a little too old to be going off on adventures youngin. You've got the mindset though, I wouldn't doubt you could raid the whole castle singe handidly and put a stop to this evil nonsense."
The way Surn was thinking, those thoughts already played at the edge of his mind.
"Come on now," Leaving his pole in a nice little rut along one of the dock's plankboard with a little bell attached to it, he began limping to a rusty old shack not too far off.
"If your going to be rushing off on some adventure, you should at least be prepared."
Surn followed with an eagerness in his step.

Detention was bbbooooorrrriiiinnnggg..... as usual. Oh well, at least Link was able to get more sleep. He did it not to get some rest.... he did it in hopes of the beautiful voice would return.

Instead, he was disturbed by a loud, frightened shriek from outside. All the other students in the room rushed to the window, despite the teacher's protest. What he saw shocked him.

Leesha, the hottest, sexiest red-head in school was screaming as two ugly looking humanoid pigs wearing old, full metal plate armor bore down on her. The one on the left carried a crude looking spear, the other carried a double-edged sword. Link stood mesmerized.... Moblins (for he remembered the old picture from a child's book) were a race of monsters that were not supposed to exist. Leesha renewed screams snapped him out of his dazed state. He ran for the door.

Leesha was in tears, both of pain and of fear. She had ran when she first saw those grunting, squealing terrors, but then twisted her ankle when she stepped in a gopher hole. She looked up through tear stained eyes, and saw the sword Moblin raise its weapon above his head, preparing to end her life with the down stroke. Leesha (as well as the Moblin) was surprised when a green blur smashed into the beast.

Link, having knocked the sword from its grasp, picked it up with both hands and got into a defensive stance. He heard a noise behind him, and dodged to the right, just as the swordless Moblin's brother drove it's spear straight through its belly instead of it's intended target.

The living Moblin only had enough time to register what it done before Link performed a downward chop, freeing the stupid creatures head from its neck.

Link stood there heaving, blood staining the blade in his left hand. He saw the other students rushing towards him and Leesha, but instead of greeting them, he turned around, grabbed the seath for the sword off the deceased.... and ran as fast as his legs could take him back home.

Zelda paced back and forth in her room muttering under her breath. Her door was locked from the outside. She didn't know who did it but no one answered her shouts. She was trapped and the only reason she could think of was that someone knew of her warning. Silently she prayed that someone would help her. She was the only person who knew truly how to obtain the triforce. And the only way to defeat the evil was through the power of the triforce. Realizing she could do nothing but wait she let out an unlady curse and sat down heavily on her bed. She hoped someone got here soon or she would good crazy.

"MOM! TURN ON THE NEWS NOW!!!" he screamed as he slammed open the door, the seathed sword clattering to the floor.

"LINK!? What are you doing home so early, young man!?" she demanded, but was unanswered as Link shoved past her, pushing the power button on the remote, the TV flickering to life as a man's voice said:

This just in.... monsters of all shapes and sizes are running rampent all across the nation. At first, these rumors of fairy tale creatures were thought to be nothing more than a hoax, till actual film footage of these.... things..... were shown to us.

The scene they showed was a pair of land octoroks spitting rocks at high speeds at a passing car, then attacking the camera that was filming them.

That is just one example of what is happening. We here at the studio inform you to head to the nearest shelter in your area... and do not go outside.... repeat, do not go outside. Army personel are already trying to get a handle on the situation.

The screen the changed to a young, beautiful blonde girl And in other news, Zelda, the President's daughter, who was put in the Hyrule Maxium Security Prison to protect her from asassination, is one of the safest people in the coutry, next to her father of course. When asked how she was handling her new surroundings, she replied...

But Link's mind never registered her words... and for two very good reasons. The first was her beauty, which was unlike anything he had ever seen before in his life. The second was her voice itself... not the words. It was the same clear, song-like tone that called to him in his dream. He knew now there was only one thing to do.

He ran for the door. Just as he stooped to pick up the blade he dropped, his mother's voice stopped him. "Where are you going?" her voice was a mixture of anger, surprise, and worry.

"I can't explain right now Mom, but I'm going to have to take Dad's old motorcycle..... I have to get to that prison to talk with Zelda," he saw that she was about to protest, but he stopped her "NO! I will not stay here..... something is drawing me to go to her.... I don't know why, but it is something I have to do."

What his mother said next shocked him "I was just going to say hold on a second while I get some things for you. Please son... sit and rest till I return."

Link, who's mouth hung open from what he just heard, did exactly what she said. He sat on the old recliner.... and waited for his mother to return.

The group of Poes fled their Master's lair with their mission, disrupt Hyrule by attacking the royal family. Having heard news reports that Zelda was locked in her room, they knew exactly where to go. The first Poe sank through the wall, as if it where a pool of water, just staring at her with a pair of bright yellow eyes.

"How is that possible?"
The old Zora gave a humphed grunt, mumbling something about kids these days, before sitting down to spend some much needed attention to his pipe.
"Its a sword, pure and simple."
Surn looked at it from side to side, still unsure at to how it was possible, "Yes, but its made of ice."
The old man let out a whiff of smoke, "That's why its called an ice sword. I thought you were paying attention."
Surn touched it, it felt cold, like ice, but hard as well. He didn't imagine that it would shatter if it hit anything. To be sure, he struck a large plank leaning against a wall. It sliced in two, and the sword didn't so much as leave a mark.
"Is it enchanted?"
"Not quite. The water that forged it was enchanted, but the sword itself is normal. It does everything a normal sword can do, except it can freeze certain things."
The old man pointed at the board that Zorn had just cut, and at the edges he could see frost across the wood. His eyes became wide as he glanced at the sword in his hands.
"With just one cut, I can freeze anyone."
The man chuckled, coughing a bit on a bit of smoke that went down the wrong pipe.
"No, no, my lad. It works on some things, but not people. The worst you can do is make the cut feel like someone set it on fire."
"Fire?"
"It's that cold, it feels like your flesh is burning."
Zorn sheathed it carefully, setting it on his back, "Thank you."
"One more thing, here's a few items you might need. Just a satchel full of food, some money, and a couple canteens of water. Something to get you all the way to Hyrule."
"How long will it take?"
He chekced his watch, "The last bus leaves in about ten minutes, and it's an all nighter to Hyrule. You should be there by morning."
Zurn nodded, thanking the man.
"Nah, forget it. Just have fun, an adventure's about you, don't forget that."
Zurn wouldn't.
He left the old shack, putting the satchel on his back, and the sheath carrying the sword as well. Each would be helpful, and the weight on his shoulders felt good.
He ran off into the distance, hoping he would catch the bus.

IC: The ground past quickly beneeth my feet. I was amazed I wasn't on the ground passed out after all I had been at this pac four almost two hours and had traveled 8 miles. This would never of been possible if I had carried much more weight. Still I was no more then a third of the way there. I need to rest for 20 minutes or so if I'm going to get up and move like this again.

I reached up and unwraped the cloth around my face. My red hair flew free and I felt good, for the moment. I couldn't help but to sink back into thought.

... two hours ago...

"We need to move now if thats what you saw Lee." We began to move further into the distance. "If we set an agresive pace we might be able to get there with in 12 hours." my feet moved in a quick and stedy rythm.

"So there will be demons now." 'Not really demons but the forces of Ganon.' "Evil creatures... I'll call them demons." 'But they aren't really demons.' "In any case there apearence make my quest more important." 'You relise people will more then likely be hurt if go threw this.' "We disscused this enough already. The ends justify the meens. Who ever I hurt will have to forgive me in the end." 'What about Princess Zelda?' "She may be named Zelda but she is not a princess. Try to rember this time." 'Well what are you going to do with her?' "What I have to. I'll find out where the triforce is..... And then kill her."

...Now...

I need to get going again. I ebgin to wrap my face in the cloth once more. My long red hair once again cotained with in. "You ready Lee?" 'Yes.... Are you really going to go threw with this.' "Stop asking me that."

His mother returned with three items. The first was a faded old leather backpack. The next was a leather side pouch, which could be strapped on at the leg and waist. And the third and forth made his eyes go wide... it was his Dad's old arm-mounted crossbow. Link remember his father would secure the crossbow to his left arm, and by pressing a button, it would open or close, allowing him to fire and holster it at different times.

"The backpack has a spare change of underwear... and some food and cooking items. The side pouch holds a butane ligter and bolts for this crossbow," she said looking at him.

"Mom.... why are you doing this?"

She told him everthing that she was to afraid to in the beginning. About the truth of his ancestors... and their destinies as the Heroes of Time. After a full thirty minutes of explaining, Link was still in shock. "Your telling me that all those old myths and stories were real?" She nodded her head. "And now it looks like it is time for you to go out and grab your destiny.... don't worry dear... I'll make an excuse as to why your not here or at school, ok?"

After a tearful farewell, Link hugged and kissed his mother, telling her he loved her, not knowing if this would be his last time to tell her so. Just as he kicked started his father's old dirtbike (which happened to be named Epona) his mother gave him a note.

"Take this and show it to Rando at the construction site near here..... he was your father's best friend and he'll have something to give you."

Link smiled, tucked the note in his pocket, then sped off towards the construction site.

Zelda sensed before she saw the poe enter through the wall. She backed up a few steps watching the poe warily. She had heard of these creatures through her studies. They were vengful ghosts, most of them were far from nice. Her fear quickly turned to anger, how dare this creature enter her room without announcing itself. How absolutely rude! She glared down at the ghost her expression haughty "You get out of here this instant before I am forced to kick you out!" She stood defiantly her back strait and her gaze determined. She wasn't scared of ghosts especially this pathetic excuse for one!

AS I am closing my shop up to lack of customer's I walk over to the carpenter's house. As I walk I get a loud noise and words booming through my head. I try to concentrate but can only make out a few key words.

I smack myself upside the head and everything stops. I sit down and think for sometime and then decide that it was ment to be.

I open the door to my shack annd grab a Big bomb bag and my sword book and head out. I leave a note on my door and slip a note and some money under the door of the carpenter.

I roll up into a ball and head out to a place a barely know of.

IC: The building were huge. These towers of glass and steel mark the next step in my travels. I had been walking next to the road for several hours now. Despite the fact that I prefer the soft cusoin of dirt sand and dust under my feet, I must switch to the cold lifeless stone.

... Two years ago...

I pushed off the stone covering of the tomb shaped object. I gazed inside. I bright light was falling out of the case. Inside where hundreds of faries flying freely in space. I couldn't see the ground in there and I couldn't see the walls only a blue backdrop. I looked up to the back of the lid and it wasn't there. So I backed away and to my supirse I was still in the same room looking at the same tomb.

I was now curious. I moved forward and stuck my hand inside to see if I could feel the wall. As my fingers lunged further and further inside they could not fine the wall. I then pulled them out and reached over the tomb and I could feel the wall. It's solid but why is it not inside the tomb. For that matter where is the tomb inside the tomb? "What the hell is going on."

What I could only imaginae is a farie from legend looked at me. It the said something. 'Some one's opened the seal.' "Shit what happens now?"

...now...

I was disturbed from my silent contimplation by a strange noise. "Lee, whats that sound." I asked quitely to my farie. 'Two moblins, about ten feet back.' The forces of darkness are already lose. Then I must hurry and kill zelda before she revils the location of the triforce. "I'll handle these guys."

I turn around and wip my left hand forward. Out flys a weighted chain from my sleeve. It warps aroun the right ones waist and with one fluid motion. I pull it to the ground at my feet. I then step on it's thought and reach back for my mace. I flick my left wrist and catch my cahin slideing it down my sleeve once more.

Swinging my mace downward I crush the head of my fallen foe. 'Your useing that barberic club' "Hasn't let me down yet." 'You know a sword would be faster.' I didn't respond looking at the side belt of the fallen pig I spoted a crossbow. I then looked to the other on and saw he had a bolt louded in his and had taken aim.

I jumped back ward and rolled in the dirt, as the bolt hit the spot where I had been. I began to run towards the city. "You didn't say they had crossbows Lee." 'I thought you would of noticed them.' "Why would I.... never mind but, we're going to have to work on our comunication." A second bolt flys over head. 'Lets just find some cover first.'
