Ever notice that theres no diversity in Beaver Land?Whats up with that:D And their problems are so petty no drugs or teen pregnancy or smart mouth kids......A real fantasy land;)

Well, Beaver's house was directly across the street from the Munster's house on the Universal back lot -- so that's something.

So does the NBA. The NBA needs more fat non jumping 5' 10"white guys.

Hell....it was the 1950s.....where everything was
perfect.....sky high chocolate layer cakes ruled, hoola
hoops, playing ball, and shooting marbles were many
of "clean cut activities" for kids......when the mother was
(supposedly) perfectly happy being at home with
cooking and cleaning, and father was at work being
the family breadwinner.......and problems solved in
30 minutes! :D

Golly Wally! Why did they need to have a series with all the ghetto slang and behavior? Just because other people want to drag the world into their personal cesspool by insisting on "diversity". By the way, I grew up in a "Beaver" household. Stuff wasn't so expensive that my Mom stayed home, and raised the five of us. My Parent's never fought in front of us, and until I went to public school, I didn't cuss. We did our chores, and when we went somewhere special, we wore a suit and tie. Just because "diversity" requires a shared misery index, some of us don't have to participate in that neurosis.
:D
**By the way, Eddie Haskel's actor became a L.A.P.D. officer**

**passing thru with some angel food cake w/ chocolate
frosting and cherries on top.......and milk to drink!** :D

Well Said:) I think I grew up in the same neighborhood...........You got the point of the post;)

Yeah, it was great when the world was black and white, even the t.v. programs. (Well, except for the cast.)

Are you suggesting that Im racist? If so your off base as my school and neighborhood was mixed.........I was more referring to certain values. While all wasnt perfect I dont recall drug problems or kids shooting kids........People knew their neighbors...........There was a sense of community that seems to be lacking in todays world:(

I understand the point of your post, there's no need for everything that we see on television. In fact, that very point is a reason that I just don't watch television. Wasn't that why Bob Dole was campaigning for a return to the 50s? But then I'm not sure he could have made money advertising his disfunction in the 50s.

If the 50s were good for people, then we wouldn't have had the 60s. It was a decade that was not kind to alot of people and refused to face reality.

The Beav did ruin Ward's autographed baseball. That wasn't very nice.

And, TigerJen, I'm not picturing you as the June Cleaver type. Nope, not buying it for one minute.

heehee I'm no June Cleaver type though I do love to
cook and bake.....in more ways than one! ;p

Seriously, the 1950s have come and gone, I think that
in some aspects I'm glad there is more open-mindedness
today than back then.......I'm sure that in real life back then
not all families were perfect as the Cleavers (or the
Nelsons, for that matter....as in "Ozzie and Harriet")...I'm
sure that in some families, there was domestic violence,
though it wasn't discussed or talked about as it is now.

Just some food for thought....anybody want more milk
with that chocolate cake? :D

Leave it to Beaver was a racist show

Don't you remember he had a friend named Whitey?

I bet June was really hot behind closed doors with Ward.....:D
